Ratchet Tooth Ring Torque Transfer Through Straight Spline Teeth
A ratchet tooth ring has ratchet teeth with a tooth root where a spline tooth is placed to prevent a thin spot in the ring at the tooth root. By using the same number of spline teeth on the periphery of the ratchet ring as the number of ratchet teeth and positioning the spline tooth opposite the ratchet tooth root the normal thin spot in the ring is avoided. The ratchet ring is mounted into a hub body and the spline teeth transfer torque from the ratchet ring to the hub body. The straight spline tooth on the periphery of the ring has a steep ramp angle to avoid multiplying the generated radial force exerted on the housing excessively when torque is applied. The ratchet teeth and the spline teeth can be forged at the same time making manufacturing lower cost.

Wheel disc for a disc wheel
A wheel disc for a disc wheel, especially for utility vehicles; with an essentially radially extending hub fitting flange and an essentially cylindrical disc edge which can be joined to a wheel rim, and with a transition region extending between the hub fitting flange and the disc edge, wherein the transition region is subdivided into at least five segments (A.sub.I to V) passing into each other or into the hub fitting flange or the disc edge, each of which has an outer end situated closer to the hub fitting flange and an inner end situated closer to the disc edge, wherein neighboring segments have curvatures with different directions and variable material thickness, with the ratios of the material thicknesses and the ratio of their lengths to heights are chosen as follows: TABLE-US-00001 Ratio of Material Ratio of Length in thickness at axial inner end (di) to direction (L.sub.a) to Material thickness at Height in radial outer end (da) direction (H.sub.r) First segment A.sub.I 0.45-0.7 0.9-1.1 (between the hub fitting flange and segment A.sub.II) Second segment A.sub.II 0.7-1.0 1.6-1.9 (between A.sub.I and A.sub.III) Third segment A.sub.III 0.9-1.25 2.5-2.8 (between A.sub.II and A.sub.IV) Fourth segment A.sub.IV 0.9-1.25 2.8-3.1 (between A.sub.III and A.sub.V) Fifth segment A.sub.V 0.7-1.15 7.0-6.8 (between A.sub.IV and the disc edge).
Wheel bearing for a motor vehicle
A wheel bearing for a motor vehicle is provided with an outer ring, an inner ring arranged at least partially inside the outer ring, and with a longitudinal axis extending in the axial direction of the outer ring and of the inner ring from a vehicle inner side to a vehicle outer side. The inner ring is provided with a flange section on its end facing the vehicle inner side having a first section at the point that is farthest from axial center of the outer ring, and with a second section which forms a contact surface for attaching a brake disk. The flange section is formed stepped in such a way, so that the contact surface for attaching the brake disk is arranged offset relative to the section of the flange section at the farthest point from the axial center of the outer ring in the axial direction toward the vehicle inner side, and so that an at least a partially circumferential projection is located on the side opposite the contact surface for attaching the brake disk.
Wheel and a wheelchair using the same
Provided is a wheel which is inexpensive, light, and sufficiently rigid. A wheel 6a includes an annular rim 60 to which a tire 6b is externally fitted, a hub 61 which is arranged at a center portion of the rim 60 and to which an axle is connected, and a disk 62 which is attached with the rim 60 at a periphery portion and which covers one side of the wheel 6a. The disk 62 includes a planar portion 62a and a first rib 62b provided at a surface of one side of the planar portion 62a and extending in the radial direction. The planar portion 62a is provided with a first groove 62d at a surface of the other side at a position corresponding to the first rib 62b.
WHEEL FOR A VEHICLE
A wheel includes a rim that is at least partially made from a fiber reinforced plastic. The rim has an inner side directed to the hub region of the wheel and an outer side directed centrifugally away from the hub region of the wheel whereby the outer side comprises a well which is interconnected with an outer shoulder by a transition area. A wheel center is interconnected with the inner side of the rim by means of at least one fastening means wherein the at least one fastening means penetrates the rim via at least one opening that extends from the inner side of the rim to the outer side of the rim. At least one annular cover means is arranged at the outer side of the rim in circumferential direction around the wheel and thereby covers the at least one fastening means and/or the at least one opening.
