20210300113 · 2021-09-30 · ·

A tool for mounting a motor-vehicle wheel on a wheel hub includes a tubular body having a coupling portion arranged for coupling to the wheel hub, and a carrier portion for supporting the motor-vehicle wheel during a centering phase of the wheel on the hub. The tool has an inner tubular member and an outer tubular member rigidly connected to each other so as to be coaxial. At the coupling portion, the inner and outer tubular members are spaced apart so as to define a space arranged to receive an end portion of the wheel hub, in such a way that, in an operating condition, the end portion of the hub is interposed between the inner tubular member and the outer tubular member.

AXLE ASSEMBLY

An improved axle may comprise three design features that, used individually or in combination, may drastically improve axle performance and decrease the likelihood of axle damage and/or deformation resulting from vehicle weight, jounce load, combined cornering load, and/or curb strike load. These three features are: dual opposed tapered roller bearings, increased shaft diameter at the bearings, and reinforced flange back face.

MAINTENANCE SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR A WHEEL ASSEMBLY OF AN AMUSEMENT RIDE VEHICLE
20210170286 · 2021-06-10 ·

A maintenance assembly for a wheel assembly of an amusement ride vehicle includes a foundational body, a wheel engagement section extending a first distance from the foundational body, and a datum section including a protrusion extending a second distance from the foundational body. The wheel engagement section is configured to contact a wheel surface of the wheel assembly, and the datum section is configured to contact a pad of the wheel assembly. Additionally, the wheel engagement section is rigidly positioned with respect to the datum section, and the second distance is greater than the first distance, such that the maintenance assembly provides a fixed distance between a surface of the datum section configured to contact the pad and a surface of the wheel engagement section configured to contact the wheel surface.

Sleeve for Wheel
20210188001 · 2021-06-24 ·

A wheel assembly has a wheel with a hub. A rotation surface disposed in the hub has a bore. A sleeve insertable in the bore of the rotation surface has an outer surface with a circumferential groove and first and second opposite axial ends. The first axial end has a shoulder extending radially outward. A resilient ring disposed in the circumferential groove is compressible to a compression diameter sufficient to enable the sleeve to be inserted in the bore of the rotation surface. The resilient ring is expandable to an expansion diameter greater than the inner surface diameter of the bore of the rotation surface when unconstrained. The circumferential groove is spaced from the shoulder at a distance sufficient to enable the resilient ring to expand to the expansion diameter when the sleeve is inserted in the bore of the rotation surface and the shoulder is adjacent the rotation surface.

WHEEL HUB AND A SYSTEM FORMED OF WHEEL HUB AND BRAKE ELEMENT
20210094347 · 2021-04-01 ·

A wheel hub for a utility vehicle includes a brake element abutment surface against which a brake element bears in an installed state, and a positive-locking arrangement which interacts in positively locking fashion, as viewed in a direction of rotation, with the brake element in the installed state, and/or a receiving region for a positive-locking arrangement which interacts in positively locking fashion, as viewed in a direction of rotation, with the brake element in the installed state.

Vehicle wheel axle assembly

An axle assembly, including: an axle sleeve with first and second end faces, an opening, and a first engagement surface; a control shaft with an engagement end, a control end, and a second engagement surface. The control shaft overlaps the opening and is axially displaceable in extending and retracting directions. The control shaft is rotatable relative to the axle sleeve between: (i) a first orientation where the control shaft is retained to the axle sleeve by an overlie engagement between the first and second engagement surfaces to restrict the axial displacement of the control shaft in the retracting direction at a first axial position; and (ii) a second orientation circumferentially offset from the first orientation such that the first and second engagement surfaces are not overlying and the control shaft may be axially displaced in the retracting direction relative to the first axial position.

WHEEL RIM ASSEMBLY
20210094344 · 2021-04-01 ·

A wheel rim assembly includes a hub with a case and two flanges are formed on two ends of the case. Multiple spoke units are connected between the two flanges of the hub and the inner periphery of the rim. Each spoke unit includes a first connection member and the first end of an X-shaped spoke extends from the first connection member. Each first connection member includes a first recessed area and a second recessed area respectively defined in the outside and the inside thereof. The second recessed area is matched with the flange corresponding thereto. Each first connection member includes an engaging recess and a protrusion. The protrusion of one first connection member is engaged with the engaging recess of the next first connection member. Two covers are respectively connected two ends of the hub. The second end of each spoke is inserted into reception recess of the rim.

Center Cap Decoupling Device
20210114409 · 2021-04-22 ·

A center cap decoupling device for removing a center cap from a wheel hub includes a hook that is coupled to a first end of a cable. The hook is configured to be inserted into a slot that is positioned in a center cap that is coupled to a hub of a wheel. A coupler that is coupled to a second end of the cable is configured to selectively couple to a pry rod proximate to a first endpoint of the pry rod. A user positions a second endpoint of the pry rod on a tire proximate to a rim of the wheel. The cable is configured to transfer a force applied to the pry rod by the user to the hook to decouple the center cap from the hub. With the center cap removed, the lug nuts of the wheel are accessible to the user.

ROLLER DEVICE
