WHEEL ASSEMBLY INCLUDING ROTATIONALLY OFFSET AXLE ATTACHMENT ASSEMBLIES AND RELATED METHODS
A wheel assembly for coupling to an axle may include an outer rim, and distal inboard and outboard attachment points coupled to the outer rim. An inboard axle attachment assembly may include an inboard medial portion to be coupled to the axle and angularly spaced inboard arms extending outwardly from the inboard medial portion and defining proximal inboard attachment points. An outboard axle attachment assembly may be rotationally offset from the inboard axle attachment assembly and include an outboard medial portion to be coupled to the axle and angularly spaced outboard arms extending outwardly from the outboard medial portion and defining proximal outboard attachment points. Inboard gas springs may each be coupled between respective ones of the distal inboard attachment points and the proximal inboard attachment points, and outboard gas springs may each be coupled between respective ones of the distal outboard attachment points and the proximal outboard attachment points.
Non-pneumatic wheel having nylon spoke
A non-pneumatic wheel includes an outer band, a hub and a plurality of spokes formed from a polyamine material. Each of the plurality of spokes is displaced to create pretension in the radial direction under a design load and the displacement is equal to or greater than the predetermined deflection of the outer band. The plurality of spokes is made from a polyamide material having a conditioned tensile modulus between 600 MPa and 3000 MPa, an equilibrium moisture content of no more than 1.5%, and a fatigue failure resistance that can withstand at least 1 million cycles.
Bicycle Training Wheel Assembly
The present invention relates to a bicycle training wheel assembly that uses uniquely, spherical wheel made of rubber or polyurethane substances of optimal consistency for this utility, as opposed to using the conventional cylindrical wheel. The foregoing properties of the said spherical wheel provide bounce and shock absorption. This invention allows the rider to obtain better balance and stability while learning to ride the bicycle. The assembly attaches to both sides of the rear wheel axle of the bicycle.
Wheel and tire assembly with adjustable spacer system
A wheel assembly is disclosed, the wheel assembly including a rigid wheel and an airless tire mounted on the wheel. A portion of the tire is separated radially from the wheel by a space and is configured to flex inwardly toward the wheel when subject to ground engaging pressure. A spacer is interposed between the wheel and the portion of the tire separated radially from the wheel by a space and is configured to limit the inward flexing of the tire. The spacer may be permanently affixed to the wheel assembly or may be removably attached to the wheel assembly. The spacer may be adjustable between a first size and a second size.
Collapsible wheels and methods of making collapsible wheels
Embodiments of collapsible wheels and methods of making collapsible wheels are generally described herein. Other embodiments may be described and claimed.
MOTOR VEHICLE TRAILER, CHASSIS AXLE, IN PARTICULAR FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE TRAILER AND USE OF THE CHASSIS AXLE AND OF A MATERIAL
The present invention relates to a motor vehicle trailer with at least one rigid axle with at least one tubular element. The motor vehicle trailer is characterized in that the tubular element has a yield strength Rp0.2 of at least 600 MPa, a tensile strength Rm of at least 850 MPa, a breaking elongation A5 of at least 14% and the tubular element (10) consists of an air-hardening, mainly bainitic material. In addition, a chassis axle as well as the use of a material for a chassis axle is disclosed.
Wheel hub for vehicle axle
The present invention relates to a wheel hub for vehicle axle used in trucks, buses, trailers and semi-trailers, consists of a cylindrical central body, said central body surrounded by a plurality of radial projections extending vertically from the median region of said central body, being structured by ribs integrated with said projections providing robustness, reduced weight and reduced heat transfer from the brake to tires.
TUBELESS SPOKED WHEEL STRUCTURE
A tubeless spoked wheel including a rim and a hub connected with wire spokes includes a rim that has no through-hole and is narrow in the vehicle width direction. A plurality of internal threads are aligned circumferentially in an annular raised portion arranged along the centerline of a rim. A connecting member that is hollow and has an external thread on its outer periphery is screwed into each internal thread. Each connecting member is pre-engaged with a distal end of a spoke in a rotatable manner. Each spoke bends at a position outward from the connecting member, tilts toward a hub, and has its basal end connected to a right or left flange of the hub with a nipple. The spokes are connected to the annular raised portion to narrow the rim in the vehicle width direction. The spokes are rotatably supported on the connecting members.
Wheel with High Strength Flexible Spokes
A wheel with high strength flexible spokes of the present invention, including a rim and hub, and spokes between the rim and hub made of fibrous material that causes the spokes to be both lighter in weight and stronger than comparable steel spokes. The spokes are also flexible and resilient such that they can bend while retaining their integrity and strength. The wheel includes a nipple within the rim that receives the high strength spoke and allows for flexibility in adapting the spoke to wheels having differing shapes and sizes.
Method of mounting a non-pneumatic tire onto a hub
A method of mounting a non-pneumatic tire onto a hub to provide a non-pneumatic wheel is provided. Certain portions of spokes of the non-pneumatic tire are connected to grooves along the hub. The tire is repeatedly rotated and deformed to allow the remaining portions of the spokes to be connected with the grooves in order to fully mount the tire onto the hub.
