Bearing rolling including a low friction sealing device, in particular for a hub bearing unit
A rolling bearing providing an outer ring, an inner ring, and a plurality of rolling bodies disposed between the inner ring and the outer ring, and a sealing device held by the outer ring and consisting of a first and second annular shield and an elastomeric sealing element held by one of the shields. The second shield extends axially and radially to protrude on the outside of the outer ring and cooperates with a radially outer lateral surface of the outer ring, to delimit a radial annular gap therewith. An annular tooth is formed on the radially outer lateral surface of the outer ring in front of the radial gap to shield the radial gap in axial direction. An annular groove formed in a position immediately adjacent to the annular tooth and on the side opposite to the second shield.
Non-rotating center cap
The present invention provides a non-rotating center cap for use with vehicle wheel. The present invention comprises a support, an interlocking device, an ornamental object, and a sealer cap. The support is the part of the non-rotating center cap that affixes to the center bore of a vehicle wheel, the interlocking device is mounted in a depression formed on the support. The interlocking device biases the orientation and prevents the rotation of an ornamental object that is connected to it. The sealer cap is connected to the support, the sealer cap protects the ornamental object from water, dust, debris and oil, the sealer cap prevents movements of the ornamental object that could be caused by winds when the vehicle is in motion. The ornamental object does not rotate when the vehicle is in motion, which allows the ornamental object to be readily visible.
Sealing structure of wheel bearing for vehicle and wheel bearing provided with the same
A wheel bearing includes a hub provided with a flange; and an outer ring having an end close to the flange and the other end opposite to the end and relatively rotatable to the hub. A sealing structure for sealing the space between the flange and the end of the outer ring is further included.
Axle assembly and contamination self-trapping seal
A shaft seal for an axle assembly can include a support body with a circumferentially-extending outer wall member and a radial wall member coupled to the outer wall member and extending radially inwardly therefrom. Sealant disposed on an outside circumferential surface of the outer wall member can form a seal with a surface of a housing bore. A lip can be coupled to the radial wall member and extend radially inward thereof. The lip can form a seal between the radial wall member and an outer surface of a shaft. An annular flange can be coupled to the outer wall member and extend radially outward of an intersection of the outer wall member and the radial wall member, while having a maximum diameter that is smaller than a maximum diameter of the outer wall member. The flange and outer wall member can cooperate to define an annular channel.
High-drainage wheel hub unit
A wheel hub unit provided with a radially outer ring, which is stationary during use; a radially inner ring, which is rotating during use; at least one row of rolling elements interposed between the radially outer ring and the radially inner ring; and a sealing assembly, which is interposed between the radially outer ring and the radially inner ring. The sealing assembly defines, cooperating with the radially outer ring or with the radially inner ring, a shield of at least one labyrinth seal. The labyrinth seal does not have a circumferential symmetry, but comprises an upper portion and a lower portion with respect to an axis of symmetry (A) of the wheel hub unit and is provided with an angular interruption of the shield formed on its lower portion corresponding to the lower side of the wheel hub unit so as to increase an outflow section thereof from the said labyrinth seal. Thereby, facilitating gravity drainage of contaminants present inside the sealing assembly.
OVAL O-RING GROOVE FOR AIRCRAFT WHEELS
Systems and apparatus for an oval O-ring groove for aircraft wheels may generally comprise an inboard wheel portion and an inboard O-ring groove. The inboard wheel portion may include an inboard rim located opposite of an inboard tubewell. The inboard tubewell may have an inboard mating surface located on an axially outward edge of the inboard tubewell. The inboard O-ring groove may be formed as a partial oval-shaped recess located on an outer edge of the inboard mating surface.
Axle assembly and contamination self-trapping seal
A seal for an axle assembly can include a support, sealant layer, lip, and flange. The support can include an outer member and a wall. The outer member can extend axially. The wall can extend radially inward from a first end of the outer member. The sealant layer can coat an outer surface of the outer member to form a fluid-tight seal between the outer surface of the outer member and a bore of the housing. The lip can extend radially inward of the wall. The lip can form a fluid-tight seal between the wall and an outer surface of the shaft. The flange can extend radially outward of a first end of the outer member while not forming a fluid-tight seal with the interior bore. The flange and the outer member can define a channel axially between the first end of the outer member and the sealant layer.
Wheel bearing apparatus for a vehicle
A vehicle wheel bearing apparatus has an outer member, an inner member, double row rolling elements, and seals. At least one seal of the seals has a metal core press-formed from steel sheet with a cylindrical fitting portion. A radial portion extends radially inward from the end of the fitting portion. A sealing member with a plurality of sealing lips is integrally adhered to the fitting portion of the metal core. Bearing grease is contained within the bearing. Sealing grease is applied to the sealing lips. Both the bearing grease and the sealing grease use the same thickener and the worked penetration of 350 or less. The kinematic viscosity of the base oil of the sealing grease at 40 C. is set to 70% or less of the kinematic viscosity of the base oil of the bearing grease at 40 C.
VEHICLE WHEEL SUPPORT DEVICE
A vehicle wheel support device includes: a hub bearing that rotatably supports a wheel of a vehicle; a hub carrier that supports the hub bearing; a sensor that detects a rotation state of the wheel of the vehicle; and a cap which prevents entry of foreign matter into the hub bearing and with which is formed integrally a deflector member including at least part of a deflector that isolates the sensor from the foreign matter.
PLANETARY WHEEL END
A planetary wheel end includes a planetary gear set, a rotatable axle shaft, a rotationally fixed axle tube surrounding at least a portion of the axle shaft, and a planetary gear carrier arranged for fixing to a wheel. The planetary gear set includes a radially inner sun gear, a radially outer ring gear and a plurality of planet gears drivingly engaged with the sun gear and the ring gear. The axle shaft is rotationally fixed to the sun gear and the axle tube includes a spindle rotationally fixed to the ring gear. The planetary gear carrier includes a plurality of planetary shafts and each one of the planet gears is rotatable about a respective one of the planetary shafts. In an example embodiment, each one of the plurality of planet gears has a respective radial needle bearing disposed on the respective one of the plurality of planetary shafts.
