A non-pneumatic wheel having a thermoplastic wheel hub includes a center hub for attachment to a wheel bearing of a vehicle. The center hub has a central shaft aperture extending axially therethough and a plurality of lug apertures spaced radially from and circumferentially about the central shaft aperture. The thermoplastic wheel hub also includes a plurality of ribs extending radially outwardly from the center hub. The thermoplastic wheel hub further includes a cylindrical tire mount connected to the ribs and extending axially in substantially a cylinder for mounting a non-pneumatic tire thereon.

An agricultural tool includes a wheel body and a flexible tire with a hollow chamber and an inner surface around this hollow chamber; a circular opening on the chamber; a pair of beads bordering this opening; and a spacer at least partially tubular with two axially opposite end faces. Over one portion corresponding to one of the beads, the inner surface extends frustoconically by widening radially outward of the flexible tire, and one of the end faces of the spacer has an axially protruding surface. The spacer is placed across the opening of the tire such that the protruding surface engages the inner surface in an area of the portion corresponding to the bead.

WHEEL RIM HAVING ANTI-SLIP TAPE

A system for reducing slippage between a tire and wheel rim includes providing anti-slip tape on the wheel rim at a wheel-tire interface of the wheel rim. When the tire is mounted on the wheel rim, the anti-slip tape is disposed between the tire and the wheel rim, providing a high friction abrasive surface in direct contact with the tire. The tape may be applied to the bead flanges of the wheel rim, which extend radially outward from the body portion of the wheel rim. The bead seats, which are adjacent the bead flanges, providing sealing between the tire and the wheel rim. The tape applied to the wheel rim extends around the circumference of the wheel rim, and may project outwardly from the surface of the wheel-tire interface, or may be disposed in a recess to be flush with the surface.
