An air deflector that is at least partially disposable within a tubeless tire of a bicycle wheel includes a body. The body includes at least one wall defining an air input end and an air output end of the body. The body is attachable to a valve of the tubeless tire at the air input end, such that when air is introduced into the body via the valve, at least some of the air is deflectable by one or more walls of the at least one wall out of the body at the air output end.

RETRACTABLE GUARD ASSEMBLIES
20240042798 · 2024-02-08 ·

Particular embodiments disclosed herein provide a retractable guard assembly coupled to a caster of a mobile equipment, comprising a housing and one or more guards at least partially disposed in the housing. The one or more guards are independently movably coupled to the housing. The retractable guard assembly further comprises corresponding one or more biasing elements coupled to the one or more guards and to the housing for biasing the one or more guards towards a fully deployed state. When the one or more guards are in the fully deployed state, contact between a fixed object and a portion of the one or more guards disposed outside the housing causes the one or more guards to transition into a retracted state, and when the contact is removed, the corresponding one or more biasing elements cause the one or more guards to transition into the fully deployed state.

METHOD AND APPARATUS TO ADAPT A REAR SUSPENSION
20190375233 · 2019-12-12 ·

A method and apparatus for adapting a vehicle rear suspension wherein the apparatus comprises a substantially circular plate having first and second surfaces with a central bore therethrough and with closed and open notches extending into a circumferential edge thereof, a pair of outer mounting bores extending through the plate proximate to the circumferential edge with the closed notch therebetween and a plurality of first and second inner mounting bores distributed around the central bore. The method comprises removing a multi-link rear suspension assembly from the vehicle and removing left and right wheel assemblies from the multi-link rear suspension assembly mounting an adaptor plate to each of the left and right wheel assemblies on an inside surface thereof with a first set of fasteners, mounting an axle beam of a torsion bar rear suspension assembly to each of the adaptor plates with a second set of fasteners and securing the torsion bar rear suspension assembly to the vehicle.

CLEAR HUBCAPS WITH OIL RANGE MARKINGS

A vehicle including at least one wheel and at least one hub assembly associated with the at least one wheel. The at least one hub assembly includes a hubcap. The hubcap has a transparent body configured for housing a lubricant, a fill port, and at least one continuous indication feature such that a lubricant volume is indicated in any orientation of the hubcap.

Caster Assembly With Brake Assembly Having Low Actuation Force

A caster assembly comprises a caster wheel having an outer surface. A wheel support is coupled to the wheel to support the wheel for rotation about a rotational axis and for swiveling about a swivel axis. A brake assembly comprises a brake having a cammed wheel engaging surface shaped to engage the outer surface of the wheel and a brake actuator to move the brake relative to the wheel from an unbraked position to a braked position in which the brake limits rotation of the wheel about the rotational axis. The cammed wheel engaging surface is arranged to articulate relative to the wheel support. The cammed wheel engaging surface articulates relative to the wheel support in response to the wheel rotating about the rotational axis after the brake is initially placed in the braked position such that the cammed wheel engaging surface more deeply engages the wheel with rotation of the wheel about the rotational axis.

SPOKED HUMAN-POWERABLE VEHICLE WHEEL WITH USER-REMOVABLE HUB AND PLURALITY OF CONICAL HUB-TO-ANNULUS ATTACHMENT ELEMENTS
20190337333 · 2019-11-07 ·

A wheel for a bicycle, or other human powerable vehicle, has a hub that includes: (a) an axle for attachment to a bicycle frame; (b) a set of bearings that connect the axle to a rotating sleeve; and (c) at least three connection points fixedly connected to the rotating sleeve. The connection points are used to detachably attach an annular module to the hub using attachment elements that each comprise conical frustum surfaces. The attachment elements are configured to axially press a portion of the hub to a portion of the annular module, as well as radially aligning the hub to the annular module. The annular module also has a set of spoke attachment points configured for tensioned spokes that connect the annular module to a wheel rim. The spoke attachment points are in a circular configuration on two parallel offset planes that are perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the rim.

Aerodynamic wheel covers may include a hub assembly coupled with a hub of a large vehicle, such as a truck. A base assembly may be coupled to the hub assembly, and a disk assembly may be coupled with the base assembly such that removal and installation of the disk assembly may be accomplished without tools.

Wheel assemblies removable without tools

A hub or wheel assembly includes a retaining element, biasing element, and hand-maneuverable release mechanism. The housing includes an axle bore configured to receive an axle and a pin sleeve including a first end in fluid communication with the axle bore, a second end, and a conduit between the first end and the second end. The retaining element is within the conduit and is configured to operatively engage a groove in an axle. The biasing element is within the conduit and is configured to bias the retaining element towards the axle bore. The hand-maneuverable release mechanism is configured to displace the retaining element away from the axle bore.
