WHEEL WITH MOVABLE ELEMENTS
A wheel includes a supporting frame, with a central portion having a center around which the wheel can turn, and a plurality of radial portions extending from the central portion angularly displaced with each other. A housing seat is delimited between two adjacent radial portions. A movable element is radially displaceable between a first working position located at a maximum distance with respect to the center, and a second working position located at a minimum distance with respect to the center of the central portion. The radial portions and the movable element have respective distal sections, with respect to the center, curved with a curvature radius corresponding to the curvature radius of the wheel and being flush with each other. A locking element is displaceable between one locking position, wherein it abuts on the movable element and prevents the radial displacement thereof, and one unlocking position, wherein it allows the radial displacement of the movable element toward the second working position. A returning element of the movable element between the supporting frame and the movable element is configured to bring the movable element back into the first working position. A band made of an elastically deformable material surrounds the distal sections of the plurality of radial portions and the movable element, at the circular perimeter of the wheel.
LOW IMPACT TURF WHEEL AND WHEEL CLEANING SYSTEM
A turf wheel having a wheel rim having an inner and outer surface, and an annular tread portion; a plurality of projections extending radially outward from the outer surface of the wheel rim, wherein each projection provides a stem, a ground contacting pad, and a ground engaging lug; and a hub. A wheel cleaning system having a frame provided by a wheeled apparatus; at least one turf wheel mounted to the frame; a turf wheel scraper assembly, the turf wheel scraper assembly providing a turf wheel scraper and an attachment mechanism, where the attachment mechanism is adapted to be mounted to the frame, and couples the turf wheel scraper to the frame.
MECHANICAL AUXILIARY TRACTION SYSTEM
An auxiliary traction system for imparting auxiliary traction to a vehicle, the system including: a first traction assembly including a first tire and a wheel, the wheel is placed inside the first tire; a second traction assembly including a second tire; a second wheel having a first end connected to the wheel of the first traction assembly and a second end passing through the second tire; the first end of the second wheel has a first flange having a convex shape that fits into a central hole of the wheel; and the second end of the second wheel has a second flange having a concave shape.
Anti-skid arrangement with protective member
An anti-skid arrangement including a friction wheel with several chains intended to be thrown under a tire in order to increase friction between the tire and the ground, and an operating arm rotatably connected to the friction wheel, wherein the operating arm is adapted to be connected to the vehicle and to bring the friction wheel into frictional engagement with the tire. The anti-skid arrangement also includes a protective member having an inner part arranged around a rotation axis of the friction wheel and between the friction wheel and the operating arm, and an outer part with two side walls abutting against opposite sides of the operating arm. The protective member prevents the chains from getting stuck between the friction wheel and the operating arm, and is simple to produce.
VEHICLE RECOVERY BOARD
The present invention is directed to a vehicle recovery board having a rectangular body with a flat topside surface and an inclined front portion of the underside surface. The flat topside surface does not have a ramp front section. The flat topside surface provides a surface at a constant angle to allow a tire to move on and along without providing an initial steep slope to gain traction. The vehicle recovery board also includes features that improve tire traction and dislodge water, sand and other material from the tread of tires. The vehicle recovery board of the present invention also has ground engagement teeth on the underside of the board to reduce slippage of the board during use.
Wheel for industrial vehicle
This disclosure concerns wheels for industrial vehicles, including scissor lift vehicles and aerial platform vehicles. More particularly, this disclosure concerns a wheel fabricated with a substantially cylindrical wheel rim and a front face surface which includes a center hub section that is inwardly offset from the front edge by an amount and at an angle providing flexibility to recover from incidences that can damage the wheel.
DEVICE FOR MOVING THROUGH A GRANULAR MEDIUM
A device (1) for moving through a granular medium, the device comprising: a body (2); a rotatable part (4A, 4B) for rotational movement relative to the body about a rotational axis (6), wherein the rotatable part is externally-exposed and arranged to cause agitation of an adjacent portion of a granular medium in which the device is to be provided; a motor configured to cause the rotational movement of the rotatable part; and a protrusion (8) arranged to extend from the body and to limit rotational movement of the body about the rotational axis relative to the granular medium when the motor causes rotational movement of the rotatable part relative to the granular medium.
Vehicle traction mat
A vehicle traction mat for use to extricate a vehicle stuck on a slippery road surface is provided. The traction mat comprises at least a main mat segment having a plurality of surface cleats, knobs, and knob cleats on a road-facing surface thereof. The cleats and knobs provide traction between the traction mat and the slippery surface. The traction mat may be provided with edge mat segments foldably connected to opposite ends of the main mat segment. The traction mat may have cleats, knobs, and knob cleats on the tire-facing surface thereof.
Low impact turf wheel
A low impact turf wheel having a wheel rim including an inner and outer surface, a plurality of pegs extending radially outward from the outer surface of the wheel rim, wherein the plurality of pegs maintain the wheel rim above an area of turf, and a hub. A turf wheel having a wheel rim having an inner and outer surface, a plurality of pegs extending radially outward from the outer surface of the wheel rim, wherein the peg comprises a stem, a collar and a lug, and wherein the lug includes a limited surface area to provide a ground contacting tread, and a hub.
Caster apparatus and transferring apparatus including the same
A caster apparatus is provided. In one embodiment, there is provided a caster apparatus including a caster wheel and a first driving wheel disposed on a first side of the caster wheel. The first driving wheel is configured to be driven by a first motor. A second driving wheel is disposed on a second side opposite to the first side of the caster wheel. The second driving wheel is configured to be driven by a second motor different from the first motor. A first actuator is configured to move the first driving wheel in a vertical direction to a ground according to a curvature of the ground. A second actuator is configured to move the second driving wheel in a vertical direction to the ground according to a curvature of the ground, wherein the first and second driving wheels are configured to steer the caster wheel.
