A steer axle spindle may have one or more channels formed therein. A rotary union may be mounted to a steer axle wheel end assembly. The rotary union may be sealingly connected to a pressurized fluid source through the channel, and sealingly connected to a vehicle tire.

An attachment for a vehicle wheel enables driving operation with limited tire function. The attachment includes a base body and a fastening device for fastening the attachment to a rim of the vehicle wheel, wherein the base body, when seen in an axial direction, is circular or annular in shape.

An attachment for a vehicle wheel allows operation when the tire is flat. The attachment may include a main body which is circular or substantially annular when seen in an axial direction, a positioning device for positioning the attachment on a rim of the vehicle wheel, and a fastening device for fastening the attachment to the rim of the vehicle wheel. The fastening device may be adapted to be actuated independently of the positioning device.

A wheel knuckle for supporting a wheel of a vehicle includes an upper member for connection to a vehicle suspension system, and a hub for supporting a bearing assembly. A displacement control member is provided for promoting displacement of the upper member towards a front of the vehicle in the event of a frontal collision. The displacement control member comprises a distal end for positioning proximal to a rim of the wheel. The distal end of the control member is disposed at a vertical height which is lower than a rotational axis of the wheel.

This disclosure relates to a clamping device for tensioning an attachment on a rim of a vehicle wheel, wherein the attachment configured to enable a driving operation with a restricted tire function in an operating state in which it is fastened on the vehicle wheel.

The vehicle rescue device includes a first rescue plate and a second rescue plate, at least one end of the first rescue plate is provided with a first connecting portion, at least one end of the second rescue plate is provided with a second connecting portion, and the first connecting portion is detachably connected with the second connecting portion.

The vehicle wheel rim with integral spare tire includes a main wheel and an integral spare tire. The main wheel includes a main rim well, an inner and outer flange, and a center disc. A main tire may be mounted onto the main wheel and the main wheel may be bolted onto a hub on an axle of a vehicle. The integral spare tire includes a safety rim well, safely rim, and safety tire with the safety tire mounted on the safety rim. The integral spare tire is coupled to the inside of the main wheel. The dimensions of the main wheel, main tire, and integral spare tire are such that when the main tire is inflated the integral spare tire does not touch the road surface. However if the main tire goes flat the integral spare tire will touch the road surface and will support the vehicle.

A tractor or trailer axle replacement spindle and seal ring assembly includes a spindle with an elongate cylindrical body having bearing surfaces and threads. The seal ring is a shorter annular component having a circular opening sized to achieve an interference fit with the spindle. A portion of the exterior surface of the spindle and the interior surface of the ring seal includes complementary regions having a small, constant and equal taper. Preferably, at each end of the tapered regions of the spindle and the seal ring resides an annulus or cylindrical region of constant diameter. The spindle may also include a shoulder or flange at or adjacent its end opposite the threads which positively axially locates the seal ring thereon. When the two components are to be assembled, the seal ring is heated to several hundred degrees Fahrenheit and slid onto the spindle until the complementary tapered regions align.

A vehicle recovery device (10) comprising a first track (12) formed from a plurality of pivotally connected panels (14) and a second track (13) formed from a plurality of pivotally connected panels (14). The first and second tracks (12, 13) are moveable from a planar configuration, in which the first and second tracks (12, 13) are usable for vehicle recovery, to a folded configuration, in which the first and second tracks (12, 13) are connectable by connectors (22) to form side walls of a receptacle (11) in the shape of a polyhedron.
