Portable personal descending escape system
A portable personal descending escape system that includes a flexible, folding body sack designed to hold a small child or animal that can be gradually lowered to the ground by a single individual. The body sack is designed to fold into a small storage bag. The body sack includes a closable top opening and at least one side panel partially made of mesh material. A slide connector is disposed around the joining edges of the top opening that allows the top opening to be selectively opened or closed. Attached to the opposite sidewalls on the body sack near the top opening are two handles. Attached to the body sack is an elongated strap with a plurality of strap handles attached thereto. The strap handles are evenly spaced apart so that one individual may gradually release the handle to safely lower the child or animal to the ground.
Method and apparatus for controlled emergency descent
Methods and apparatus for an emergency descent system according to various aspects of the present technology may comprise a cable connector non-slidably connected to an emergency escape cable and a housing connected to the cable connector and configured to enclose a controlled descent system and at least a portion of a length of rope. The housing may comprise an outer protective layer, an inner wall section substantially enclosed by the outer protective layer forming an open interior portion, and a cover configured to be selectively attached to an upper portion of the outer protective layer. The cover may be configured to be selectively attached to an upper portion of the outer protective layer. The cover may be configured to cover at least a portion of the controlled descent system and protect the open interior portion from environmental conditions.

Repositionable console
A vehicle includes a chassis, tractive assemblies, a body assembly, a turntable, a platform, and a control console. The tractive assemblies, body assembly, and turntable are coupled to the chassis. The platform supports an operator in a command position and includes an outer perimeter. The control console includes a base coupled to the turntable and spaced from the outer perimeter. The control console includes a movable section that is movably coupled to the base and includes an operator interface configured to receive operator commands to control a vehicle system. The movable section is repositionable relative to the base between a stowed position and an operating position. The operator interface is accessible by the operator from the command position when the movable section is in the operating position. The vehicle has an overall height defining a top plane. The movable section is below the top plane when in the stowed position.

REPOSITIONABLE CONSOLE FOR A FIRE APPARATUS
A vehicle includes a chassis, a plurality of tractive assemblies coupled to the chassis, a turntable rotatably coupled to the chassis, and a control console. The control console includes a base section coupled to the turntable and a movable section selectively repositionable relative to the base section between a stowed position and an operating position. The vehicle has an overall height defining a top plane. The movable section of the control console is positioned below the top plane when in the stowed position.

Well rescue and support system
A well rescue and support system includes a controller having a processor with program instructions, a compressed gas output valve and a dashboard having a screen and a keypad. A compressed air tank with a regulator connects to the output valve, and a well cap fills a well opening. An extendable tube fluidly connects to the compressed air tank through the output valve. At least one retaining balloon disposed around the extendable tube inflates within the well to apply wall pressure. A communication head with a microphone, a camera, a control wire, and a speaker attach to a balloon end of the extendable tube, connecting to the processor and dashboard through a coaxial cable inside the extendable tube. The processor delivers inflation/deflation signals to balloon valves to control target volumes of the retaining balloons for preventing well collapse during rescue operations.
Modular load carrying apparatus with interchangeable platforms
A modular load carrying apparatus for a rotary wing aircraft and to a method of operating a modular load carrying apparatus. The modular load carrying apparatus may include a tube, first and second caps that are located inside the tube at first and second axial ends, and at least first and second removable platforms that are interchangeably installable on the tube. The second cap comprises a protrusion that protrudes from the axial end, and each one of the at least first and second removable platforms is adapted for being slidable over the first axial end of the tube and restrained by the second cap at the second axial end of the tube.
