Reinforcing layer for objects made of an elastomeric material, preferably for pneumatic vehicle tyres and pneumatic vehicle tyres
The invention relates to a rubberized reinforcing ply for articles composed of elastomeric material, preferably for vehicle tires, wherein the reinforcing ply has a multiplicity of strengthening elements which are in parallel and spaced apart, wherein each strengthening element is a cord which is end-twisted from at least two twisted multifilament yarns composed of polyamide 6.6. The raw yarn composed of polyamide 6.6 has a tenacity which, at an elongation of 4%, is within a range from 1.35 cN/dtex to 1.60 cN/dtex, the cord has a tenacity which, at an elongation of 4%, is within a range from 1.2 cN/dtex to 2 cN/dtex and the cord has a thermal shrinkage at 177 within a range of 4.0%-7.0%, wherein the tenacity in accordance with ASTM D885-16 and the thermal shrinkage at 177 C. are determined under a pre-tension of 0.045 g/dtex with an exposure time of two minutes.
TEXTILE REINFORCEMENT MATERIAL AND METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION THEREOF
The invention relates to a textile reinforcement material for reinforcing in particular rubber products, having at least one multi-fibre, which has aramid fibres having docking sites in the form of carboxyl groups arranged on the surface thereof for coupling in particular a rubber material, having an areal density of at least 0.2 nmol/mm.sup.2 and a tensile strength of the multi-fibre of at least 600 MPa.
RUBBER-CORD COMPOSITE, REINFORCING MEMBER FOR TIRES, AND TIRE USING SAME
Provided is a rubber-cord composite, a tire reinforcing member including the composite, and a tire including the reinforcing member. The rubber-cord composite includes a reinforcing cord, and the composite forms a spiral cord layer in the tire reinforcing member. The twist coefficient of the reinforcing cord is greater than 0.3.
MOTORCYCLES TYRE
Motorcycles tyre including a carcass structure, a zero-degree belt structure arranged in a radially outer position with respect to the carcass structure and a tread band arranged in a radially outer position with respect to the belt structure. The belt structure includes at least one hybrid reinforcing cord that has an elongation greater than 4% when subjected to a load equal to about 50 N and a tangent modulus with a monotonic progression as the elongation increases for elongations comprised between 4% and at least 9%.
REINFORCING ELEMENT, ELASTOMER COMPOSITE AND TIRE COMPRISING SAID REINFORCING ELEMENT
The reinforcing element (45) comprises an assembly (49) made up: of a multifilament strand made of aromatic polyamide or aromatic copolyamide (46) and of a multifilament strand made of polyester (48). The two strands (46, 48) are wound in a helix around one another, and the reinforcing element (45) is twist-balanced. The twist factor K of the reinforcing element (45) ranges from 5.5 to 6.5 where K is defined by the formula: K=(RTi.sup.1/2)/957 in which R is the twist of the reinforcing element (45) expressed in twists per metre and Ti is the sum of the counts of the multifilament strands of the reinforcing element (45) in tex.
Bielastic carbon fiber cord as cap ply
A dipped and heat-set carbon fiber cord, including a plurality of cord plies having a spacing between the plurality of cord plies. A TASE at 2.0% elongation of the carbon fiber cord is less than 2.0cN/dtex. The spacing between the plurality of cord plies is longer than 15% and shorter than 80% of a cord diameter of the plurality of cord plies.
Tire having a softened carcass reinforcement
A crown reinforcement formed of at least two working crown layers of reinforcing elements. The tire additionally comprises, in each shoulder, at least one end of a layer of reinforcing elements that are mutually parallel in the layer and are oriented circumferentially, said end being axially outside said at least two working crown layers, the reinforcing elements of the carcass reinforcement having a diameter less than 0.85 mm, and said reinforcing elements of the carcass reinforcement being made up of threads with a diameter less than 0.16 mm.
Splitting method
A method is provided for manufacturing at least first and second assemblies of M1 filamentary elements and M2 filamentary elements. At least one of the first and second assemblies includes a plurality of filamentary elements wound together in a helix. The method includes a step of assembling M filamentary elements together into a layer of the M filamentary elements around a temporary core, to form a temporary assembly. The method also includes a step of splitting the temporary assembly into at least the first and second assemblies of M1 filamentary elements and M2 filamentary elements.
Cap ply strip with alternate nylon 6,6 and PET cords
The present invention relates to a novel tire cord fabric or strip made of alternating PET and nylon 6.6 warp cords which is used as tire reinforcement. Such a novel tire cord fabric or strips improve high speed durability, tread separation resistance and impact resistance when used as zero degree spirally wound cap ply in pneumatic radial tires.
