High modulus nylon 6.6 cords
A dipped and heat-set high modulus nylon 6.6 cords having a tensile stress value between 1.2 and 2.0 cN/dtex at 4% elongation. The high modulus nylon 6.6 cords are used as reinforcement in shaped rubber composites. The minimum heat shrinkage of the cords is 4% and the maximum heat shrinkage thereof is 7%.
PNEUMATIC TIRE
A pneumatic tire is disclosed that can improve high-speed durability and shock resistance without increasing the mass of a belt reinforcing layer. The pneumatic tire includes a carcass, a belt on the outer periphery of a crown part of the carcass and a belt reinforcing layer on the outer periphery of the belt, wherein the belt reinforcing layer is provided with a belt reinforcing ply including an organic fiber cord having a double twisting structure obtained by intertwisting two first twisted yarns including a filament bundle of aliphatic polyamide fibers, having nominal fineness of 4000 dtex or less and having tensile toughness (J) per one cord of 5 J or more, and a major diameter direction of the belt reinforcing ply is parallel to a belt outer periphery, and the product of the toughness (J) per one organic fiber cord and cord count (number/25 mm) is 130 to 180.
THIN LAYER CAPPLY AND LOW-WEIGHT TIRE USING THE SAME
The present invention provides a thin layer capply and a low-weight tire to which the thin layer capply is applied. The thin layer capply of the present invention has effects of reducing a rolling resistance of the tire through a weight reduction and improving fuel efficiency of a vehicle in which the tires are mounted while maintaining stiffness required for the tire, by forming the cord spinning layer in a thin tape form by spinning and depositing a plurality of cord strands, rather than twisting a plurality of cord strands to form the capply cord.

A radial aircraft tire (1), defined in three main directions, circumferential (X), axial (Y) and radial (Z), comprises a crown (2) surmounted by a tread (3), two sidewalls (4), two beads (5), each sidewall (4) connecting each bead (5) to the crown (2), a carcass reinforcement (7) that is anchored in each of the beads (5) at at least one bead wire (6) and extends in the sidewalls (4) as far as the crown (2), a crown reinforcement or belt (10) that extends in the crown (2) in the circumferential direction (X) and is situated radially between the carcass reinforcement (7) and the tread (3), said carcass reinforcement (7) having at least one ply referred to as carcass ply in the form of a rubber matrix reinforced with radially oriented reinforcing elements, referred to as radial textile reinforcers, the latter being constituted entirely or partially by textile plied yarns of nylon comprising N multifilament strands twisted together to form a helix, characterized in that: N is greater than 2; the count of each strand is greater than 180 tex; the tenacity of each strand is greater than 75 cN/tex; the elongation at break of each strand is greater than 14%; the tenacity of each plied yarn is greater than 60 cN/tex; the elongation at break of each plied yarn is greater than 18%; and the helix angle of each plied yarn is greater than 20.

A plurality of belt layers 7 are superimposed in a radial direction. The belt layers 7 include a plurality of steel cords 10 arranged in parallel in a row and rubber 11. The steel cords 10 have a 14 structure in which four filaments 20 are twisted, and when a center-to-center distance between the steel cords 10 in at least two of the belt layers 7 adjacent in the radial direction is T, and an average diameter of virtual circumscribed circles of the steel cords 10 having the 14 structure is D, 1.25T/D2.25.
Steel Cord for Tire Belt Ply Reinforcement
A steel cord for tire belt ply reinforcement includes a cord formed by periodically twisting n wires, wherein the n wires are compressed by rolling, and at least one of the n wires is compressed into a non-circular shape, when n is an odd number, a cross-section of one wire from among the n wires is circular due to rolling, and cross-sections of n?1 wires from among the n wires are non-circular, and when n is an even number, cross-sections of two wires from among the n wires are circular due to rolling, and cross-sections of n?2 wires from among the n wires are non-circular due to rolling.

In a pneumatic tire including a carcass layer mounted between a pair of bead portions and a belt reinforcing layer disposed on an outer circumferential side of the carcass layer, the carcass layer is formed of a carcass cord made of an organic fiber cord, an elongation at break of the carcass cord is set to 20% or more, an elongation under a load of 1.5 cN/dtex of the carcass cord on the inner circumferential side of the belt layers is set to from 5.5% to 8.5%, the belt reinforcing layer is formed of a cover cord made of an organic fiber cord, and a tensile strength of the cover cord per width of 50 mm at a 3.0% elongation is set to from 2.8 kN to 4.0 kN.

The present invention provides a pneumatic tire by which workability when molding a tire and tire durability performance can be enhanced without increasing tire weight when providing a reinforcing layer formed by aligning a plurality of monofilament steel wires and embedding this plurality of monofilament steel wires in rubber. The pneumatic tire of the present invention includes a reinforcing layer formed by aligning a plurality of monofilament steel wires and embedding said monofilament steel wires in rubber. Each of the monofilament steel wires is provided with twisting around an axis thereof, and a wire surface twisting angle with respect to an axial direction of the monofilament steel wires is not less than 1.
TIRE COMPRISING CARCASS REINFORCEMENT CABLES HAVING A LOW CARBON CONTENT
The tire has a radial carcass reinforcement, the seat diameter of which is less than or equal to 19.5 inches, the carcass reinforcement has metal reinforcing elements which are layered cords that include several steel threads. The steel threads have a weight content of carbon C such that 0.01%C<0.4%. The at least one carcass reinforcement layer has a breaking force per unit width of between 20 daN/mm and 50 daN/mm, and the diameter of the cords is less than 0.7 mm.
