BICYCLE-TIRE REINFORCING PLY AND BICYCLE TIRE
A bicycle tire at least includes a tread part provided to a ground contact surface of the bicycle tire and a carcass part provided inside the tread part. The bicycle tire also includes a reinforcing ply in at least one position selected from between the tread part 2 and the carcass part, inside the carcass part, and inside the tread part. The reinforcing ply at least includes a woven fabric made of polyvinyl alcohol-series fiber yarns. Each of the yarns includes a plurality of single fibers having an average fiber diameter of 45 m or smaller.
ASSEMBLY FOR A TIRE COMPRISING A THREE-DIMENSIONAL FABRIC OR KNIT AND A SECURING ELEMENT
An assembly (1) comprises: a first structure (10) formed by first filamentary elements (15), a second structure (12) formed by second filamentary elements (16), a supporting structure (14) comprising supporting filamentary elements linking the first filamentary elements (15) and the second filamentary elements (16), and at least one filamentary securing element (18) interlaced with the first filamentary elements (15) and the second filamentary elements (16), one of the ends (18a, 18b) of the securing element (18) being free to slip relative to the first and second filamentary elements (15, 16).
Tacky Finish and Textile Materials and Articles Treated Therewith
This invention relates to tacky finishes and to the textile materials and articles treated with the tacky finishes. The tacky finishes provide improved processing features for end-use articles that contain such finishes. The tacky finish may be combined with other adhesion promotion finishes in the treatment of textile materials. The textile materials and articles may be used as rubber reinforcing materials, such as automotive tire cap ply, single end tire cord, carcass reinforcement and side wall reinforcement. End-use articles that contain the treated textile materials include rubber-containing materials such as automobile tires, belts, and hoses. This invention also relates to the methods for manufacturing the treated textile materials and articles.
Protective crown reinforcement for aeroplane tire
Protective reinforcement (3) for a tire has a mean radial thickness T at least equal to two times the diameter D of a reinforcer (4), the protective reinforcement (3) comprises respectively on its radially interior face (31) and on its radially exterior face (32) parts (7) made of elastomeric compound having an axial width W at least equal to the diameter D of a reinforcer (4), and the path of any reinforcer (4), in the circumferential direction (XX) of the tire, varies radially between the radially interior first face (31) and the radially exterior second face (32), in such a way that the set of paths of the reinforcers (4) of the protective reinforcement (3) constitutes a three-dimensional lattice.
Protective crown reinforcement for aircraft tire
Protective reinforcement (3) for a tire has mean radial thickness T at least equal to two times diameter D of reinforcer (4), and comprises respectively on its radially interior face (31) and on its radially exterior face (32) parts (7) made of elastomeric compound having axial width W at least equal to diameter D of reinforcer (4). The path of any reinforcer (4), in circumferential direction (XX), varies radially between radially interior first face (31) and radially exterior second face (32), in such a way that the set of paths of reinforcers (4) of protective reinforcement (3) constitutes a three-dimensional lattice. Furthermore, protective reinforcement (3) comprises a first family of reinforcers (41) each having a path, in the circumferential direction (XX), contained in circumferential plane (XZ) and a second family of reinforcers (42) each having a path, in the circumferential direction (XX), that follows a zigzag curve.
Non-pneumatic tire
A non-pneumatic tire is described that includes a ground contacting annular tread portion, a shear band, wherein the shear band is formed of a first and second inextensible layer, and a low modulus material positioned between the first and second inextensible layer. The non-pneumatic tire further includes a connecting web positioned between a hub and the shear band, wherein the connecting web is formed of one or more spokes extending from an inner ring to an outer ring, wherein the one or more spokes are formed from a material reinforced with a three dimensional spacer structure.
Shear band and a non-pneumatic tire
A shear band comprising a three-dimensional spacer structure, wherein the three-dimensional spacer structure is formed from a first and second layer of material, each layer of material having first reinforcement members which extend in a first and direction, and second reinforcement members which extend in a second direction, wherein each layer of material is connected to each other by a plurality of connecting reinforcement members which extend in a third direction, wherein the shear band further comprises a first membrane layer located radially outward of the three-dimensional spacer structure. The invention further comprises a non-pneumatic tire which includes the above described shear band.
TIRE REINFORCEMENT
A reinforcement structure for a polymer ply includes a plurality of flat woven cords. Each flat woven cord has a width between 0.5 mm and 1.6 mm and a thickness between 0.2 mm and 0.8 mm thereby producing the reinforcement structure with an overall width between 25.0 mm and 26.0 mm. Each flat woven cord includes materials with melting points between 130 C. and 230 C.
PUNCTURE RESISTANT TIRE
A pneumatic tire having an increased resistance to punctures. The pneumatic tire may have at least one puncture resistant ply constructed from a fiber reinforcement oriented circumferentially around the tire and providing circumferential reinforcement. The pneumatic tire may incorporate at least one puncture resistant ply in place of at least one belt to provide both circumferential reinforcement and puncture resistance for the pneumatic tire.
