A tread pattern of a pneumatic tire includes an inner circumferential main groove and an outer circumferential main groove that have groove walls extending in a tire circumferential direction while the angle of the groove walls relative to a contact surface varies with a predetermined amplitude, an inner lug groove extending from the inner circumferential main groove toward the outer circumferential main groove, an outer lug groove extending from the outer circumferential main groove toward the inner circumferential main groove, and a sipe configured to communicate the inner lug groove with the outer lug groove. A pair of chamfered surfaces are provided on walls of the sipe along an extension direction of the sipe on the contact surface.

A motorcycle tire includes a tread portion including a crown portion that is a region of 50% of a tread development width centered on a tire equator, a first shoulder portion that is an outer region of the crown portion, and first lateral grooves. Each lateral groove includes a first groove portion in the crown portion, a second groove portion in the first shoulder portion, and a third groove portion connecting the first and second groove portions. A groove depth and a groove width of the third groove portion are respectively smaller than groove depths and groove widths of the first groove portion and the second groove portion, respectively. More than 80% of a tire axial length of the third groove portion is in the first shoulder portion.

A tire for running on rough terrain for which an intended tire rotational direction is specified. The tread portion is provided with blocks raised from a tread base portion. Each block has a first side wall surface comprising a radially outer portion extending substantially straight and radially inwardly, while inclining toward the toe side in the intended tire rotational direction, and a radially inner portion extending from the radially outer portion to the tread base portion while curving in an arc shape. The radially outer portion has a radial length of from 30% to 70% of a radial height of the block.

In a tire tread pattern, inclined grooves extend from a starting end in a center region including an equator toward both sides in a width direction and toward the same side in a circumferential direction to a pattern end. A periphery distance from the equator to the pattern end at an outer side in the width direction being 100%, in ranges separated from the starting end by ≤35%, from >35% to ≤50%, from >50% to ≤70% and from >70% to ≤100%, an inclination angle of the inclined grooves relative to the circumferential direction is from >40° to ≤50°, from >50° to ≤65°, from >65° to ≤80°, and from >80° to ≤90°, respectively. A circumferential-direction distance from the starting end to a terminating end of the inclined grooves is 60% to 90% of a width-direction distance.

A tread surface 20 of the tire 2 includes a center portion C and a pair of shoulder portions S. A contour line of the tread surface 20 is divided into ten parts. Among the ten parts, two parts including an equator PC are represented by arcs, and two parts including ends PE of the tread surface 20, respectively, are represented by arcs. A degree of curvature of each shoulder portion S is higher than a degree of curvature of the center portion C. A ratio of the degree of curvature of the shoulder portion S to a width TW of the tread surface 20 is not less than 50%. A ratio of the degree of curvature of the center portion C to the width TW of the tread surface 20 is not greater than 70%.
