TIRE
A tire includes a tread portion including a first cap rubber layer forming a ground contact surface and having a loss tangent tan δ1, and a second cap rubber layer disposed inwardly in a tire radial direction of the first cap rubber layer and having a loss tangent tan δ2, the loss tangent tan δ2 being greater than the loss tangent tan δ1. The tread portion is provided with a plurality of sipes opening to the ground contact surface, The plurality of sipes, at least partially, extends inwardly in a tire radial direction from the ground contact surface to a. location beyond a boundary between the first cap rubber layer and the second cap rubber layer, and a maximum length L2 of the plurality of sipes in the second cap rubber layer is smaller than a length L1 of the plurality of sipes at the ground contact surface.
Rib- or fin-shaped element, profile ring segment and method for producing a profile ring segment
Rib- or fin-shaped element (1, 10) comprising an anchoring part (1 b.sub.1, 10b.sub.1) and a molding part (1b.sub.2, 10b.sub.2), wherein the anchoring part (1 b.sub.1, 10b.sub.1) can be anchored in a profile ring segment of a profile ring of a vulcanizing mold that molds the tread of a vehicle tire and the molding part (1 b.sub.2, 10b.sub.2) is provided for molding a sipe or a groove in the tread. The element (1, 10) has at least one elongate projection (1a, 11), which forms a bevel at the periphery of the tread and is produced by means of selective laser melting.
TIRE
A tire, for which a mounting direction on a vehicle is specified, has a tread portion comprising an outboard shoulder land region provided with outboard shoulder lateral grooves, and an inboard shoulder land region provided with inboard shoulder lateral grooves. The outboard shoulder lateral grooves are bent convexly toward one side in the tire circumferential direction, whereas the inboard shoulder lateral grooves are bent convexly toward the other side in the tire circumferential direction. The bent angle of the outboard shoulder lateral groove is larger than the bent angle of the inboard shoulder lateral groove.
TIRE
A tire has a tread portion whose position specified when mounted on a vehicle. An outer shoulder land region has outer shoulder axial grooves. An inner shoulder land region has inner shoulder axial grooves. The outer shoulder axial grooves include inner groove portions and outer groove portions so as to be bent convexly to one side in a tire circumferential direction. The inner shoulder axial grooves include inner groove portions and outer groove portions so as to be bent convexly to the other side in the tire circumferential direction. The inner groove portions of the inner shoulder axial grooves have an angle larger than an angle of the inner groove portions of the outer shoulder axial grooves. The outer groove portions of the inner shoulder axial grooves have an angle smaller than an angle of the outer groove portions of the outer shoulder axial grooves.

TIRE
A tread portion 2 can include an inner tread end, an outer tread end, circumferential grooves, and land portions. The circumferential grooves can include an inner shoulder circumferential groove and an outer shoulder circumferential groove. The land portions can include an inner shoulder land portion and an outer shoulder land portion. The inner shoulder land portion can include inner shoulder lateral grooves and inner shoulder sipes. The outer shoulder land portion can include outer shoulder lateral grooves and outer shoulder sipes. Each outer shoulder sipe can have a chamfered portion at each of sipe edges on both sides. The chamfered portion can have a chamfered width that increases from a terminating end side toward the outer shoulder circumferential groove.
TIRE
A tire having a tread portion, wherein the tread portion can include a pair of shoulder circumferential grooves, a pair of crown circumferential grooves, and a pair of middle land portions. Each middle land portion can include a plurality of middle sipes. Each middle sipe can have a chamfered portion at at least one of sipe edges on both opposite ends thereof. The chamfered portion can extend from the crown circumferential groove to the shoulder circumferential groove. A first chamfered width of the chamfered portion at a first one of the opposite ends on a crown circumferential groove side can be greater than a second chamfered width of the chamfered portion at a second one of the opposite ends on a shoulder circumferential groove side.
TIRE
A tire that includes a tread portion having a designated mounting direction to a vehicle can comprise: an outer shoulder land portion having a greatest width, in the tire axial direction, of a ground contact surface among five land portions. The outer shoulder land portion can include a plurality of outer shoulder sipes connected to an outer shoulder circumferential groove. An outer middle land portion can include a plurality of outer middle sipes extending completely across the outer middle land portion in the tire axial direction. The outer shoulder sipes and the outer middle sipes each can include a pair of sipe walls. The outer shoulder sipes and the outer middle sipes can each include a body portion in which the pair of sipe walls are disposed substantially parallel to each other. A width of a body portion of each outer shoulder sipe can be greater than a width of a body portion of each outer middle sipe.
TIRE WITH HYBRID SIPE PATTERN
The subject invention discloses a tire (1) having at least one sipe pattern comprising, in the circumferential direction of the tire (1), one or more straight sipes (15) and two or more inclined sipes (17, 19, 37, 39); wherein at least one straight sipe (15) is arranged between two or more inclined sipes (17, 19, 37, 39).
Pneumatic tire
A pneumatic tire includes two circumferential main grooves disposed in the region on one side of a tire equatorial plane as a boundary and a land portion defined by the two circumferential main grooves. The land portion includes a circumferential narrow groove extending in the tire circumferential direction and sets of a first and a second lug groove extending in the tire lateral direction through the circumferential narrow groove. The first lug groove includes an end portion that opens to the edge portion on one side of the land portion and another end portion that terminates within the land portion. The second lug groove includes an end portion that opens to the edge portion on the other side of the land portion and an end portion that terminates within the land portion.
