A pneumatic tire includes a plurality of main grooves and a land portion defined by the main grooves. Further, the main groove includes a rib-shaped protrusion portion protruding from a groove bottom of the main groove and extending in a tire width direction, and being coupled to a groove wall of the main groove at, at least, one end. Further, a maximum height H1 of the protrusion portion has a relationship 0.01≤H1/Hg≤0.20 with respect to a groove depth Hg of the main groove. Further, the maximum height H1 of the protrusion portion is in a range H1≤1.6 mm.
Tire having exposed three dimensional sipe patterns
The present disclosure is directed to tire tread blocks each having a sipe and cut-out portions that reveal a three dimensional sipe pattern on interior walls of the tread block. More particularly, the sipe defines the interior walls of the tread block and divides the tread block into first and second portions. The sipe further defines the sipe pattern on the interior walls of the tread block, on the first and second portions. The cut-out portions are located on the first and second portions, and expose the sipe patterns on the second and first portions, respectively.
Tire comprising a tread containing reinforcing elements
A tire, the tread of which has an underlayer and a circumferential reinforcement made up of a rubber mixture with a stiffness greater than the stiffness of the rubber mixture and the underlayer, has an outer side and an inner side. The circumferential reinforcement has a reinforcing element of tapered shape positioned in the tread pattern elements disposed axially on the outside with respect to the first or the second circumferential grooves of the tread from the outside to the inside and axially close to the circumferential groove.
Off-road tyre
An off-road tyre includes a tread portion being provided on a tread edge side with shoulder blocks arranged in a tyre circumferential direction. The shoulder blocks include at least one first shoulder block and at least one second shoulder block having a circumferential length greater than that of the at least one first shoulder block. The at least one first shoulder block includes a first ground contact surface, a second ground contact surface protruding outwardly from the first ground contact surface in a block height direction, and a first shallow groove extending between the first ground contact surface and the second ground contact surface.
Tyre for heavy load vehicle wheels
Tyre (1) for heavy load vehicle wheels, having a tread band (8) comprising: —a plurality of circumferential grooves (3, 4, 5, 6); —a plurality of transverse grooves (15) extending between two axially consecutive circumferential grooves (3, 4, 5, 6), thus defining a plurality of blocks (21); —each block (21) comprising a radially outer top surface (7) and having a height (M) measured between said top surface and a bottom surface of a respective transverse groove (15); —said transverse grooves (15) comprising a first segment (16) having a width L1 and a second segment (17) having a width L2, where L2<L1; —said first segment (16) being at least partially delimited by walls of two circumferentially consecutive blocks (20, 21); —at least one filling element (18) contained within said first segment (16); —said at least one filling element (18) having a radially outer top surface (19), located radially inwardly relative to said top surface (7) of the block at a radial distance (D) between 5% and 50% of the height (M) of the blocks (21); —the plan surface area (A2) of said top surface (19) of said at least one filling element (18) being greater than 60% of the plan surface area (Ai) of said first segment (16); —said at least one filling element (18) being spaced apart from said walls (27, 28) along at least 70% of its perimeter (P).
Molding element for manufacturing a noise reducing tread
The molding element has a plurality of contacting elements delimited by a plurality of grooves and has a molding surface for forming a contact face and a groove forming rib portion for forming the groove. The groove forming rib portion provides a space opening to one of the rib side faces and/or to the rib top face and an insert that is received in the space for forming a portion of the groove and a closing device in the groove. The insert is composed of thin plates stacked with one another. The forming plate assembly also comprises at notched plates of thickness t1, and each notched plate includes a notch for forming a flexible fence, and the notched plate has no area overlapping to the notch in the other notched plated adjacent thereto in sectional view in a direction along which the groove forming rib portion extends.
Tire
The tire has, in a tread surface, at least one circumferential groove continuously extending in a tire circumferential direction, and a shoulder land portion partitioned with the circumferential groove and a tread ground contact edge, the shoulder land portion has a first width direction groove that extends in a tire width direction and via which the circumferential groove communicates with the tread ground contact edge, the first width direction groove has, in the first width direction groove, a second width direction groove that communicates with the first width direction groove, and respective groove widths of the circumferential groove, the first width direction groove and the second width direction groove satisfy a relational expression of “the groove width of the circumferential groove>the groove width of the first width direction groove>the groove width of the second width direction groove”.
