Cartridge and breathing apparatus containing the same
11813486 · 2023-11-14 · ·

A chemical cartridge or an oxygen generating breathing apparatus includes an outer canister and an inner canister with an interior space. At least one alkali hyperoxide or earth alkali hyperoxide that can act as an electrolyte in the presence of moisture and at least one first metallic material are provided in the interior space of the inner canister. At least one second metallic material is provided between the inner canister and the outer canister or is at least partially integrated into the outer canister wall. Between the inner canister including the first metallic material and the outer canister including the second metallic material an ion-permeable material is arranged such that the cartridge generates electrical power when in use by creating a potential between the first metallic material and the second metallic material when the at least one alkali hyperoxide or earth alkali hyperoxide is contacted by CO.sub.2 and moisture.

Methods of inactivating pathogens
11801322 · 2023-10-31 · ·

This disclosure relates to a method for sanitizing a space. The method includes applying a composition containing triethylene glycol into a space containing a pathogen (e.g., a Staphylococcus, a Pseudomonas, a Listeria, Salmonella, Klebsiella, a Mycobacterium, a mold, or a spore) in an amount effective to inactivate the pathogen.

Apparatus for deodorizing a space and method of using the apparatus
11826497 · 2023-11-28 · ·

A portable deodorizing apparatus having: a housing with first and second releasably joinable parts; and a deodorant source. The first housing part has a first connector and the second housing part has a second connector. The connectors are configured to be: a) engaged so as to thereby maintain the first and second housing parts in an operative relationship as an incident of relatively moving the first and second housing parts from a starting relationship into the operative relationship; and b) disengaged as an incident of relatively moving the first and second housing parts with the first and second housing parts in the operative relationship, so as to thereby allow the first and second housing parts to be changed from the operative relationship into the starting relationship. With the first and second housing parts in the operative relationship, the deodorant source is maintained in an operative position wherein deodorant is diffused into a space within which the deodorizing apparatus is placed.

Apparatus and systems for air-borne cleaning of surfaces
11420599 · 2022-08-23 · ·

There is provided a system and method of cleaning surfaces of an interior cabin space of a contamination comprising a microbial and viral load. The method includes the steps of sealing the interior cabin space and placing water, and a solid or gel pack, into a container and generating a vortex the container by rotating an impeller. The agitation causes the solid or gel pack to release a gaseous cleaning agent. An air-borne spray exiting from the container spreads throughout the interior cabin space to coat the surfaces to be cleaned within the interior cabin space. The cabin is maintained closed for an effective time period while the coating from the air-borne spray dwells on the surfaces to eliminate or substantially reduce the load of the contamination.

Portable system for the production of oxygen

A portable oxygen generating system is provided that comprises a reaction chamber, a feed system for providing and controlling hydrogen peroxide solution to the reaction chamber, and a cooling/condensing system for cooling the hot oxygen and water vapor leaving the reactor and condensing and removing water. The portable chemical oxygen generation system produces humidified, breathable oxygen, that is substantially free of hydrogen peroxide and other contaminants, at a controlled flow and temperature over an extended period of time.

Portable medical grade air purification system
11389269 · 2022-07-19 · ·

A system, method, and air purification device. Air is taken in from an environment into the air purification system. The air is prefiltered. The air is filtered with a primary filter. The filtered air is treated with vacuum ultraviolet radiation in a primary reaction chamber to generate irradiated air. The irradiated air is treated with ultraviolet-C radiation in a secondary reaction chamber to remove ozone. Ozone and other contaminants are removed from the irradiated air utilizing a carbon filter to generate purified air. The purified air is emitted back into the environment from the air purification system.
