Breathing apparatus
A portable breathing apparatus for protecting a user against contact with the contaminated surrounding atmosphere. The breathing apparatus can be supplied with fresh breathable air via an air tube connected to an air supply system having an overpressure. The breathable air flows out of a body which is connected to the air tube and has at least one defined outflow surface for the breathable air.
PROCESS AND APPARATUS TO PRECLUDE UNFILTERED ATMOSPHERIC GASES AND HUMAN RESPIRATION PRODUCTS INCLUDING CARBON-DIOXIDE WITH CARBON-14 FROM ENTERING CONTROLLED GREENHOUSE ATMOSPHERIC GASES
This invention relates to a process and apparatus to preclude unfiltered atmospheric gases and the products of human respiration including carbon-dioxide (CO.sub.2) with carbon-14 (.sup.14C) from contaminating greenhouse atmospheric gases which has utility in growing agricultural products with a reduced abundance of .sup.14C. Agricultural products with reduced .sup.14C content can be grown in greenhouses with filtered atmospheric gases for the benefit of reducing harmful damage to human DNA. Agricultural production in greenhouses still requires humans to plant, maintain, and harvest crops in many cases. This invention provides a means for humans to access, work, and operate in these controlled environments without contaminating the atmospheric gases and agricultural products therein with respiration products and unfiltered atmospheric gases containing radioactive .sup.14C.
Hose device for a breathing apparatus
An embodiment relates to a hose device for a breathing apparatus, characterized by at least one electric line (2) and at least one pressure line (3) within the open-cross-section of the hose device (1).

Method and apparatus for transmitting data from several respirators
An apparatus and a method for the transmission of data from several respirators, each having at least one interface to a relay station and a data channel to the relay station. The data channel is unidirectional from the respirator to the relay station and supports at least two redundant technologies for the data transfer. The respirator data are encrypted and transmitted to the relay station, which decrypts the data, and authentication of the respirator and/or relay station takes place. Storage of the received data takes place in the relay station, as well as assignment of respirators and/or their data to particular users. The relay station comprises a forwarding interface for transmitting encrypted data to remote stations. A remote station is authenticated before the transmission, and data or user are selectively transmitted based on the authentication, the transmission being initiated by the relay station or the remote station.
OXYGEN SYSTEM WITH ELECTRONIC FLOW INDICATION
A vehicle oxygen indication system that includes at least one oxygen source, and a plurality of oxygen assemblies. Each oxygen assembly includes a hose, a switch, a mask, and a flow indicator. The hose includes a lumen through which oxygen can flow from the oxygen source to the mask. The switch is switchable between a normal state when oxygen is not flowing from the oxygen source to the mask and a flow state where oxygen flows to the mask. When the switch is in the flow state, the flow indicator is switched from a static state to an indication state.

BREATHING GAS DELIVERY SYSTEM
A breathing gas delivery system comprising a gas flow controller, at least one breathing apparatus, and at least one first length of tubing coupling the breathing apparatus to the gas flow controller. The gas flow controller has a body having an on/off switch, at least one gas input, at least one gas output, and at least one control mechanism for controlling flow of gas to the gas output. The breathing apparatus comprises a T-shaped gas input, a breathing bag coupled to the T-shaped gas input, a second length of tubing having two opposed ends, wherein one end is coupled to the other arm of the T-shaped gas input, a filter coupled the second length of tubing, and a nasal assembly coupled to the filter.
Apparatus for reflecting an incident ray of electromagnetic radiation
A flow through photochemistry apparatus and methods of use are disclosed in the present application. One or more reactant materials are passed through a reaction chamber and are exposed to electromagnetic radiation. The reaction chamber has reflective walls arranged to reflect electromagnetic radiation across the volume of the chamber a plurality of times, thereby increasing the probability of the electromagnetic radiation interacting with the reactive materials. The reaction chamber may be used for sterilization and photochemistry applications.
