Device to prevent hypothermia and increase cold-weather survival, utilizing the user's exhaled air
A hypothermia-prevention device is provided. The hypothermia-prevention device provides a three-port valve system having an inhalation port, a respiration port and an exhalation port, respectively wherein an in-take valve fluidly connects the inhale port to the respiration port and wherein an out-take valve fluidly connects the exhale port to the respiration port. The out-take and in-take valves are adapted to respond to the negative and positive pressure urged by way respiration of a user through the respiration port so that the exhale air is directed through the exhale port while colder inhale air is excluded through the exhalation port. The exhale port provides an out-tube for selectively directing the warmer exhale air to necessary body parts of the user.

HYDRATION AND AUDIO SYSTEM
A combined microphone and fluid-delivery apparatus includes a microphone disposed at an end of a support member, and a fluid passageway supported by the support member. A mouthpiece extends from the passageway so as to be positioned adjacent the microphone. The mouthpiece defines an outlet port that is in fluid communication with the fluid passageway.
Coupling device for a breathing apparatus
A coupling device for a breathing apparatus, characterized in that a connecting device is inseparably connected to the regulator hose, and can be coupled with at least two couplers, each having a flow check valve, for connection to a breathing gas source. Other aspects are described and claimed.

Breathing gas delivery system
A breathing gas delivery system comprising a gas flow controller, at least one breathing apparatus, and at least one first length of tubing coupling the breathing apparatus to the gas flow controller. The gas flow controller has a body having an on/off switch, at least one gas input, at least one gas output, and at least one control mechanism for controlling flow of gas to the gas output. The breathing apparatus comprises a T-shaped gas input, a breathing bag coupled to the T-shaped gas input, a second length of tubing having two opposed ends, wherein one end is coupled to the other arm of the T-shaped gas input, a filter coupled the second length of tubing, and a nasal assembly coupled to the filter, the nasal assembly comprising a nasal hood, one or more straps, and an airtight elbow coupling for coupling the nasal hood to the filter.
OXYGEN MASK ASSEMBLY WITH OPTIMIZED PACKAGE SIZE
A hose that includes a main body portion that defines a lumen extending therethrough and includes an outer surface, at least a first axially extending protrusion extending outwardly from the main body portion, and at least a first axially extending slot defined in the outer surface of the main body portion. The hose defines a hose axis. A portion of the first axially extending protrusion is secured in a portion of the first axially extending slot.

Automated Recreational Closed Circuit Breathing Device
A highly automated, fully-closed circuit rebreather and methods for operating the device by users with limited training and limited skill development are disclosed. Advanced sensors, electronics, software, assembly methods, and disposable cartridges dramatically reduce the skills required for assembly, operation, and maintenance of the unit. The use of the rebreather apparatus is primarily for recreational diving applications, but may be used for additional applications where the presence of breathable air may be absent or limited, such as hazardous duty applications, high altitude applications, no-atmosphere or low-atmosphere applications, and the like.
Modular, integrated powered air purifying respirator system
A modular, low profile PAPR system includes a blower, a filter rail chassis removably attachable to an inlet of the blower, a hose system removably attachable to the outlet of the blower, and a removable battery pack. The hose system comprises an ovular outer tube that maintains a generally flat profile for the hose as it extends across or along the operator's body. Two circular air carrying conduits are sealed within such ovular outer tube against outside contamination and provide a flat, small profile tube system that resists hoop stress applied to the outside of the hose, provides low resistance against bending, that will not inadvertently kink or seal in low radius turns, and that results in a low profile, non-collapsing hose system for delivering air from a remotely carried blower and filter assembly to the operator's protective mask.
