An outer surface of at least one of the bead portions is provided with a recess row including a plurality of recesses spaced in a tire circumferential direction, and in the at least one of the bead portions, an outermost end of the bead reinforcing layer is located outwardly in the tire radial direction of outermost ends of the plurality of recesses.

A pneumatic tire with a bead filler has a side wall curved at both sides of a tread that is a thick rubber layer that comes in direct contact with a road surface, a bead core seated on a rim of a vehicle, and a bead part having a difference of rubber hardness. The pneumatic tire includes a carcass that is an internal frame of the tire and is provided to be turned up around the bead core of the bead part, in which the bead part includes: a first bead filler that is surrounded by the carcass and a turned-up carcass inside the tire; and a second bead filler that is disposed between the outer side of the turned-up carcass, the side wall, and the rim, and is applied with multiple rubber layers composed of different kinds of rubber layers to reduce weight and improve rolling resistance.

A tire fitted with a transponder comprises: a crown comprising a crown reinforcement having an axial end at each of its edges, connected at each of its axial ends by a sidewall to a bead having an interior end; a carcass reinforcement layer formed of parallel metal reinforcers, which is anchored in each bead around a bead wire to form a main part and a turn-up; and the transponder comprising a dipole antenna consisting of a spring defined by a pitch P and a diameter D. A ratio between the pitch (P1) and the diameter (D1) for a loop of a first region of the spring is greater than 0.8, and the transponder is situated axially on the outside of an interior end of the bead and radially between the upper end of the bead wire and the axial end of the crown reinforcement.

A ratio between the pitch (P1) and the diameter (D1) for a loop of a first region of the spring is greater than 0.8, and the transponder is situated axially on the outside of an interior end of the bead and radially between the upper end of the spiral and the axial end of the crown reinforcement.

The sub-chafers each include an outer end portion outward of the bead filler in the tire lateral direction. The outer end portion has a height from 0.7 times to 0.9 times a height of a rim flange. The carcass layer has a turned up height from 2.5 times to 4.5 times a height of a rim flange.

A transponder is embedded on an outer side in a tire width direction of a carcass layer, and the tan δout (−20° C.) at −20° C. of a rubber member having the largest storage modulus at 20° C. of rubber members located on the outer side in the tire width direction of the transponder is in the range of from 0.1 to 0.7. Further, the transponder is embedded on the outer side in the tire width direction of the carcass layer, and the tan δin (−20° C.) at −20° C. of a rubber member having the largest storage modulus at 20° C. of rubber members located on an inner side in the tire width direction of the transponder is in the range of from 0.1 to 0.7.

Each insertion layer 22 is disposed between an end of the belt 14 and an end PB of the bead 10. Each insertion layer 22 has a volume resistivity of less than 10.sup.8 Ω.Math.cm. A complex elastic modulus of the insertion layer 22 is equivalent to or higher than a complex elastic modulus of the inner liner 20. A thickness of each sidewall 6 at a maximum width position PW is not greater than 5.0 mm.

The pad rubber includes a constant thickness portion having a substantially constant thickness over a range of 7% or more but not exceeding 26% of a tire reference cross-section height.
