HEAVY DUTY PNEUMATIC TIRE
A heavy duty pneumatic tire can have, in each shoulder land portion, a plurality of holes extending from an outer surface thereof toward a belt. The tire can include a fiber reinforcing layer including a relatively large number of fiber cords aligned with each other and formed from a nylon fiber. The fiber reinforcing layer can include an inner fiber reinforcing layer and an outer fiber reinforcing layer. The inner fiber reinforcing layer can cover an outer end of a steel reinforcing layer from an outer side in an axial direction, and the outer fiber reinforcing layer can cover an outer end of the inner fiber reinforcing layer from the outer side in the axial direction.
PNEUMATIC TIRE
A pneumatic tire comprises a bead portion including a reinforcing rubber portion disposed adjacently to an axially outer side of a carcass ply. The reinforcing rubber portion includes an inner rubber layer and an outer rubber layer. The radially outer end of the outer rubber layer is positioned radially outside the radially outer end of the inner rubber layer.
Pneumatic tire
A pneumatic tire comprises: a tread portion; a pair of sidewall portions; a pair of bead portions each with a bead core embedded therein; a toroidal carcass extending between the bead portions; and a sidewall rubber disposed axially outside the carcass in each of the sidewall portions. The bead portion has a bead bottom surface which contacts with a bead seat of a wheel rim when the tire is mounted thereon. The bead bottom surface comprises an axially inner region including a bead toe and an axially outer region including a bead heel. The axially inner region is formed by a canvas chafer. The axially outer region is formed by the sidewall rubber extended radially inwardly from the sidewall portion.
PNEUMATIC TIRE
A pneumatic tire includes a pair of bead portions, a pair of bead cores, and a carcass extending between the bead cores. The carcass includes a carcass ply including a main portion extending between the bead cores and a pair of turn-up portions each turned up around a respective one of the bead cores from axially inside to the outside of the tire and extending radially outwardly. In at least one of the bead portions, a reinforcing rubber layer is disposed outwardly and adjacently in the tire axial direction of the turn-up portion. The reinforcing rubber layer includes a first rubber layer and a second rubber layer arranged outwardly in the tire axial direction of the first rubber layer. A loss tangent tan δ1 of the first rubber layer is smaller than a loss tangent tan δ2 of the second rubber layer.
Heavy duty pneumatic tire
A tire 32 includes: a pair of beads 40; a carcass ply 82 having a ply main body 84 and turned-up portions 86; and a pair of fillers 52 that are located outward of the turned-up portions 86 in the axial direction and that include metal cords. In a radial direction, a first end 92 of each filler 52 is located inward of a bead base line, and a second end 94 of each filler 52 is located between an end 88 of the turned-up portion 86 and the bead base line. A recess 96 is provided on a zone of each side surface 34 of the tire 32 between a maximum width position and the end 88 of the turned-up portion 86.
SIDEWALL CONSTRUCTION FOR A TIRE
A bead portion of a tire includes: a bead portion including a core; a first filler arranged at the core; a carcass extending around the core and the first filler and radially inward adjacent an axially inner side of the core, the carcass further extending axially outward adjacent the core and radially outward adjacent the core; a second filler extending both axially and radially beyond the first filler, the second filler overlapping the first filler, an outermost end of the second filler being positioned radially outward from the first filler; a first chafer disposed at the second filler; a second chafer extended about the carcass; and a flipper extending radially inward from a position axially adjacent the first filler. The second filler is embedded at a convergence of the first chafer and a sidewall.
PNEUMATIC TIRE
A pneumatic tire comprises a carcass, a bead apex rubber, and a bead reinforcing cord layer. The bead apex rubber has a radially outer edge positioned at a radial height of 15% to 25% of the tire section height. The bead reinforcing cord layer comprises an axially inner first part disposed on the axially outside of a carcass ply main portion, and an axially outer second part disposed on the axially inside of a carcass ply turned-up portion. The radially outer edge of the axially outer second part is radially outwardly spaced apart from the radially outer edge of the carcass ply turned-up portion by at least 5 mm.
Bead for a Tire for a Civil-Engineering Heavy Vehicle
Improving the endurance of the beads (1) of a radial tire for a civil-engineering heavy vehicle by proposing a solution which blocks the propagation of the cracks initiated in the coating elastomer of the bead reinforcing layer (5), by inserting a cushion rubber (6) interposed between the coating elastomer of the carcass layer turn-up (312) and the coating elastomer of the bead reinforcing layer (5). The elastic modulus in extension of the cushion rubber (6) measured at 100% deformation must be less than the elastic modulus of the coating compound of the carcass layer. Still according to a disclosed embodiment, the thickness of the cushion rubber (6) is at least equal to the thickness of the bead reinforcing layer (5).
Tire Having Reinforced Sidewalls
A tire having a radial carcass reinforcement, made up of a single layer of reinforcing elements anchored in each of the beads by being turned up around a bead wire, reinforced by a stiffener. In the sidewall of the tire, the profile of the outer surface of the tire is at a constant distance from the carcass reinforcement layer between the points F and A, and meets the outer surface of the bead at the point C, forming two successive circular arcs.
Tire and tire manufacturing method
A tire includes: a bead core; a bead filler extending to an outer side in the tire-radial direction of the bead core; a carcass ply which is folded back around the bead core; a pad member disposed on an outer side in the tire-width direction of the bead filler; and a first rubber sheet disposed in a state covering a folding end of the carcass ply which is folded back, between the bead filler and the pad member, in which a second rubber sheet covering an electronic component is disposed between the bead filler and the pad member on an outer side in the tire-radial direction of the first rubber sheet.
