SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ELECTRONIC DEVICE
There is provided a system having an electronic device powered by at least one battery, a controller communicably coupled to at least one battery, wherein the controller is configured to: determine a state of charge of the at least one battery; and interrupt a function of the electronic device for at least one predefined time period based on the state of charge of the at least one battery, where the interruption is indicative of a state of charge of the at least one battery. There is also provided an electronic device for use in the system.
Personal protection and ventilation system
A personal protection and ventilation system is provided. The system includes a gown having front and rear panels, a hood, and visor; a fan; an air tube; and a helmet. The fan is positioned between the wearer and a body-facing surface of the rear panel. The front panel and at least a portion of the hood are formed from a first material including a first spunbond layer, a spunbond-meltblown-spunbond laminate, and a liquid impervious elastic film disposed therebetween. The first material has an air volumetric flow rate of less than about 1 standard cubic feet per minute (scfm). The rear panel is formed from a second material including a nonwoven laminate having an air volumetric flow rate of about 20 scfm to about 80 scfm. Therefore, the fan is able to intake a sufficient amount of air from the environment through the rear panel to provide cooling/ventilation to the hood.
Low-flow alarm and valve
A low-flow alarm optionally having a variable pressure pre-set threshold, for use with protective suits and hoods is disclosed. In one embodiment, a low-flow valve alarm comprises an adjustable spindle handwheel having a hole, a valve body having an air inlet port, the valve body connected with the adjustable spindle handwheel, a hollow handwheel body joined to the adjustable spindle handwheel, a diaphragm sealing collar joined to a whistlehead retaining body, the whistlehead retaining body having a central bore and joined with a whistlehead, a resilient diaphragm joined with a control spindle disposed within the central bore of the whistlehead retaining body, the control spindle having an air channel, wherein air can travel through the air channel, wherein air flow is adapted to act on the resilient diaphragm, compressing a spring and wherein a low air pressure condition relaxes compression on the spring, producing an audible alarm.
Gas supply warning and communication system
A fluid supply warning and communication system including a digital regulator in fluid tight engagement with a primary fluid reservoir. A method of using the fluid supply warning and communication system by flowing a fluid from a primary fluid reservoir to an end use appliance and detecting flow rate and pressure of the fluid with a digital regulator. A gas supply warning and communication system including an oxygen flow monitor that monitors SpO2, flow rate, pulse rate, and battery levels. A method of using the gas supply warning and communication system by flowing oxygen from a primary gas reservoir to an end use appliance, and measuring SpO2, flow rate, pulse rate, tank status, and battery levels.
Filling Element for Filling up a Space Between at Least One Compressed Gas Bottle of a Breathing Apparatus and a Carrier Plate
A carrier for carrying at least one compressed gas bottle of a breathing apparatus includes a carrier plate configured for removably receiving the at least one compressed gas bottle, and at least one filling element positioned in a space between the carrier plate and the at least one compressed air bottle. The at least one filling element includes a first positive connection element having a surface for engaging the at least one compressed gas bottle, and a second positive connection element connected to the first positive connection element and the carrier plate.
EMERGENCY EVACUATION OXYGEN MASK
Proposed is an emergency evacuation oxygen mask provided with a hood configured to be worn on a user's head and an oxygen canister configured to supply oxygen to the user who wears the hood. The emergency evacuation oxygen mask includes an upper cover in which the hood is accommodated, a female coupling portion coupled to a lower end portion of the upper cover and connected to an oxygen supply port that is provided at the hood, and a male coupling portion provided on the oxygen canister and coupled to the female coupling portion, wherein when the upper cover or the oxygen canister is rotated, oxygen is discharged from the oxygen canister.
RAPID-TESTING MASK
A rapid-testing mask is worn by a user, and includes a covering portion, a strap portion and a rapid-testing portion. The covering portion is provided to cover the mouth and the nose of the user. The covering portion includes an inner layer close to the user and an outer layer opposite to the user. The strap portion is connected to the covering portion and is worn on the user. The rapid-testing portion is arranged on the inner layer of the covering portion, and receives a gas exhaled from the mouth or the nose of the user to generate an indication signal according to the gas. The indication signal is a rapid-testing result of whether the user is suffering from diseases of pneumonia, influenza and COVID-19 (Coronavirus disease 2019), to monitor health status of the user in real time.
APPARATUS FOR SUPPLYING OXYGEN TO A VEHICLE USER, AND VEHICLE COMPRISING SUCH AN APPARATUS
Apparatus for supplying oxygen to a vehicle user, comprising a source of pressurized respiratory gas containing oxygen-enriched air, a flow-regulating and/or pressure-regulating unit, and at least one mask provided for supplying gas to the respiratory tract of said user, the regulating unit comprising at least one inlet connected to the source and at least one outlet connected to the mask, the regulating unit being configured to regulate the flow and/or the pressure of the respiratory gas supplied to the mask according to the respiratory demand of the user, the apparatus comprising at least one sensor measuring the pressure and/or the flow of respiratory gas delivered by the regulating unit to the mask, and an electronic data storage and processing unit configured to receive the measurements from the at least one sensor and to calculate, from these measurements, the frequency of the gas flows supplied to the mask and corresponding to the respiratory frequency of the user, to compare this calculated frequency against a threshold frequency and, when this calculated frequency is greater than the threshold frequency, to generate an audible and/or visual and/or vibratory warning signal.
RESPIRATOR DEVICES WITH SENSORS, AND ASSOCIATED SYSTEMS AND METHODS
The present technology relates to open respirator devices having sensors for measuring breath biometrics. For example, a respirator device (100) can include a mask component (102) that fits at least partially over a user's face and forms a gap (112) between a periphery of the mask component and the user's face, thereby forming a breathing chamber (108) between the mask portion and the user's face. A fan unit can provide air from the external environment to the breathing chamber for the user to inhale. In some embodiments, the air may be filtered before entering the breathing chamber and the fans may provide a positive pressure seal between across the gap. One or more sensors can be coupled to the mask component for measuring one or more metrics associated with the user's breath.
