ULTRAVIOLET FACE MASK
A face mask assembly that includes a cover, a V-shape shell, a battery, a UV-C LED chipset having one or more UV-C LEDs, and a mouthpiece. The cover having apertures for ingress and egress of air between an inner volume of the V-shape shell and the outside environment. The V-shape shell can fit into the cover forming the inner volume between two walls of the V-shape shell and the cover. In one wall of the V-shape shell is a window that is having a UV-C LED for irradiating the inner volume of the V-shape shell. The other wall of the V-shape shell having apertures for inhaling from the inner volume and exhaling into the inner volume. The face mask can sterilize both the inhaled air and the exhaled air using the pulsating UV-C LEDs.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FIT TEST AND MONITORING FOR RESPIRATORY PRODUCTS
Embodiments include systems and methods for completing a fit test on a respiratory mask A method may comprise installing a speaker within an interior cavity of the face mask, wherein the speaker communicates with an electronics unit; installing a microphone within the interior cavity of the face mask, wherein the microphone communicates with the electronics unit; generating, by the speaker, a sound during the fit test; detecting, by the microphone, sound generated by the speaker during the fit test; comparing, by the electronics unit, a detected signal from the microphone to a baseline expected sound; when the detected signal is within a certain range of the baseline expected sound, indicating to the user that the fit test is completed and passed; and when the detected signal is not within a certain range of the baseline expected sound, indicating to the user that the fit test is completed and failed.
Smart respirator and method and device for calculating pollutant absorption
A smart respirator includes a main respirator-body including a first open end and a second open end. A diameter of the first open end is smaller than a diameter of the second open end. The smart respirator further includes a front respirator-body arranged at the first open end. The front respirator-body includes a filter sheet arranged inside the front respirator-body and configured to absorb pollutants in air entering the front respirator-body, an air sensor arranged inside the front respirator-body and configured to detect an air index of filtered air filtered by the filter sheet, and a flow sensor arranged inside the front respirator-body and configured to determine a total respiratory amount. The smart respirator also includes a fixation band arranged at the second open end.
Method and apparatus for automatically maintaining a desired level of oxygen in a refuge
An apparatus for controlling a level of oxygen in a closed environment from an oxygen supply having an oxygen sensor for detecting the level of oxygen in the closed environment. The apparatus has a plurality of relays in communication with the sensor. The apparatus has a valve in communication with the relays and the oxygen supply which is automatically opened with the relays without human interaction, monitoring and adjustment to release oxygen from the oxygen supply into the environment when the level of oxygen in the environment goes below a first predetermined level and which is automatically closed with the relays without human interaction, monitoring and adjustment to stop oxygen from being released from the oxygen supply into the environment when the level of oxygen in the environment goes above a second predetermined level. A method for controlling a level of oxygen in a closed environment from an oxygen supply. A refuge chamber.
Oxygen flow indicator using flow-powered illumination
In one embodiment of an aircraft emergency oxygen delivery system, power can be generated by the flow of gas over a transducer disposed inside an oxygen delivery tube. A pressure differential gives rise to a temperature difference across the transducer, and the temperature difference can be converted to a voltage. The voltage can be quadratically dependent upon the Mach number M (e.g. flow velocities from 1 to 140 m/s) and proportional to a Seebeck coefficient of the transducer. The power thus generated may be used to operate LED indicators visible from the exterior of the tube, a variety of sensors, and wireless communication with a central control system. Oxygen flow to a mask may be adjusted based on ambient oxygen content and data collected from a passenger wearing the mask, including a blood oxygen saturation level, pulse or respiration rate.
Respirator without breathing resistance
The present invention relates to a respirator without breathing resistance, which has an air inlet duct that passes through an inside and an outside of the respirator and that has asymmetrical electrodes and particle capturing plates formed on an inner surface of the air inlet duct; ozone removing element that removes ozone generated by micro-plasma; and high voltage dc-dc converter that provides high voltage to the asymmetrical electrodes. It employs asymmetrical electrodes and particle capturing plates to filter air without generating breathing resistance. When the respirator according to the present invention is used, safety of a wearer may be maintained in accordance with an environment and breathing may be smoothly performed even while introduction of pathogenic bacteria, viruses, fungi, spores, fine dust, or the like included in air may be effectively blocked. Accordingly, the respirator may be widely utilized to maintain the safety of the wearer in various environments.
Data communication and displays for breathing apparatus facepieces and pressure regulators
A system includes a pressure regulator including a housing, an inlet for connection to a pressurized gas comprising oxygen, and at least one energy transfer element. The system further includes a respiration facepiece including at least one seal system to form a sealing engagement with the face of a user to encompass the nose and mouth of the user, thereby creating a volume of sealing engagement between the respiration facepiece and the user, an opening into the volume of sealing engagement of the respiration facepiece in communicative connection with an interface for removable attachment of the pressure regulator to the respiration facepiece, and an inspiration port in fluid connection with the interface and in fluid connection with the volume of sealing engagement. The pressure regulator interface includes at least one cooperating energy transfer element such that energy can be transferred between the at least one energy transfer element and the at least one cooperating energy transfer element to transfer at least one of data or power into the volume of sealing engagement.
Air purifier apparatus
The invention relates to a modular, portable, air purifier device capable of supplying filtered or otherwise conditioned airflow to an individual. More specifically, the present invention provides an air purification system that allows for the remote detection and analysis of local ambient air quality and transmit that information to wirelessly connected devices.
