A pneumatic tire has a tread rubber made of a nonconductive rubber. The tread rubber is provided with a first and second conductive portions made of a conductive rubber. The first conductive portion extends radially inwardly from a ground-contacting surface, extends to one side in tire width direction, and reaches a carcass layer or a side wall rubber. An exposed position of the first conductive portion is separated from a tire equator at a distance is equal to or more than 10% of a ground-contacting width. The second conductive portion extends radially inwardly from the ground-contacting surface, extends to another side in tire width direction, and reaches the carcass layer or the side wall rubber. An exposed position of the second conductive portion is separated from the tire equator at a distance is equal to or more than 10% of the ground-contacting width.

Tire made conductive by arranging a localized conductive strip

A tire comprises a crown zone comprising a crown reinforcement surmounted radially on the outside by a tread formed from at least one material that is not a conductor of electricity, the crown reinforcement comprising a plurality of layers superposed on one another, each layer of the crown reinforcement comprising two ends in the circumferential direction, these two ends being joined together in an abutment region, the tread comprising a weld region circumferentially offset by an angle of 180 degrees with respect to the region at which the radially outermost layer of the crown reinforcement is superposed. The tire comprises at least one conducting strip positioned between the tread and the crown reinforcement and located circumferentially as to be positioned at equal angular distances between the tread weld region and the region at which the radially outermost reinforcing layer is butted together, these two regions being diametrically opposite.

Tire having a conductive path in a sidewall

A tire includes a circumferential tread disposed in a crown region of the tire and an undertread disposed below the circumferential tread. The tire also has a pair of bead regions, including a first bead region and a second bead region, and a body ply extending from the first bead region to the second bead region. The tire further has a pair of sidewalls, including a first sidewall extending between the first bead region and the circumferential tread and a second sidewall extending between the second bead region and the circumferential tread. The tire also has a sidewall antenna adjacent to the first sidewall. The sidewall antenna has a first end contacting the undertread and a second end contacting the body ply.
