SILENT TIRE AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF
A silent tire, including a tire body, which is provided with an inner liner on the inner surface. The tire body includes a tread. A self-seal adhesive layer, a film layer and a sponge layer are sequentially provided on the inner liner corresponding to the position of the tread in a direction away from the tread.
Methods For Treating Inner Liner Surface, Inner Liners Resulting Therefrom And Tires Containing Such Inner Liners
Methods for treating the surface of a cured inner liner are disclosed. By use of these methods a treated, cured inner liner is produced which has a lower surface with increased adherability to other materials (e.g., adhesives). Treated, cured inner liners resulting from such methods as well as tires containing the treated inner liners.
PNEUMATIC TIRE WITH SEALANT
The present invention is directed to a pneumatic tire comprising a tread portion having (i) circumferential grooves and (ii) circumferential ribs or rows of tread blocks; an inner surface defining a tire cavity; and a sealant material layer at least partially covering the inner surface radially below the tread portion within the tire cavity. The sealant material layer comprises elevations of sealant material, wherein an elevation of sealant material is provided radially below each of at least two of the circumferential grooves, and wherein the sealant material layer has a larger radial thickness in said elevations than in areas radially below the circumferential ribs or rows of tread blocks.
PNEUMATIC TIRE
In a pneumatic tire, a sound absorptive member is installed on an inner surface of a tread portion with a sheet material interposed therebetween. The sheet material is fixed relative to the tire inner surface or the sound absorptive member at first fixed regions. The sheet material is not fixed relative to the tire inner surface or the sound absorptive member at a non-fixed region between the first fixed regions. The sheet material is fixed at a second fixed region relative to the other of the tire inner surface or the sound absorptive member ina portion of the non-fixed region. A repair liquid introducing portion connects a closed space and a tire cavity with the sheet material, the closed space being separated from the tire cavity by the tire inner surface and the non-fixed region or the sound absorptive member and the non-fixed region in a meridian cross-section.
Multilayer intrinsic sealants based on ionic butyl
A tire with in-situ generated two or more intrinsic puncture sealant layers based on ionic butyl with two or more different viscosities comprising a supporting tire carcass having one or more layers of ply, an outer circumferential tread, and a radially inner layer, a pair of beads, sidewalls extending radially inward from the axial outer edges of a tread portion to join the respective beads, a sealant comprising an outer layer of sealant and an inner layer of sealant, disposed radially inwardly from the radially inner layer of the tire carcass, wherein the outer layer of sealant and the inner layer of sealant have different viscosities, wherein the sealant provides self-sealing properties to the tire, and wherein the inner layer of sealant is cross-linked to the outer layer of sealant with no barrier separating the inner and outer layers of sealant.
Tire casing and wheel assembly comprising an enhanced self-sealing product
An assembly of a pneumatic tire and of a wheel, the pneumatic tire (10) being fitted to the wheel. The assembly comprises first and second self-sealing products housed in the internal volume (V) of the pneumatic tire (10). The first self-sealing product, referred to as solid self-sealing product (OS), covers a predetermined part of the internal surface of the pneumatic tire (10). The relative position of this predetermined part in the pneumatic tire (10) does not substantially vary under the effect of gravity. The second self-sealing product, referred to as liquid self-sealing product (OL), is in the liquid form.
PNEUMATIC TIRE
The pneumatic tire of the present disclosure has the sound absorbing member applied to the tire inner surface via the sealant layer. The sound absorbing member is formed by laminating two or more sound absorbing layers each made of a nonwoven fabric.
SELF-SEALING COMPOSITIONS
A self-sealing composition is based on at least: one thermoplastic styrene elastomer; one polyolefin having a number-average molar mass Mn ranging from more than 550 000 to 5 000 000 g/mol; and at least 140 phr of an extender oil.
COAGULATABLE MIXTURE FOR SEALING A TIRE PUNCTURE
Various embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a coagulatable mixture. The coagulatable mixture includes a solvent component; an antifreeze component; a latex component; and a solid filler component.
TIRE COMPRISING AN OPTIMIZED LAYER OF SELF-SEALING PRODUCT
The tire comprises a tread (14) comprising a deeply cut rib (68, 70) and a slightly cut rib (62, 64, 66), and a layer of a self-sealing product (80) comprising: a portion (90″, 92″) extending in line with the deeply cut rib (68, 70) and having an average thickness Ec > 0 of self-sealing product, and a portion (100′, 102′, 104′) extending in line with the slightly cut rib (62, 64, 66) and having an average thickness Eb ≥ 0 of self-sealing product such that Eb <Ec.
