Multiple chamber pneumatic tire
A multiple chamber pneumatic tire having an upper section and a lower section. A diaphragm separates the upper section from the lower section. The lower section has at least two chambers. The chambers each have a chamber valve, a nail guard layer, a plurality of fibers having an end connected to an inner wall surface of a chamber, and an interconnected barrier connected to at least two portions of a chamber wall surface. The upper section of the tire has at least one linkage located within at least one tube with a primary end connected to a chamber valve of a chamber and a secondary end connected to a tire rim or to a main valve. A tire pressure monitoring system can be in communication with a chamber valve. The tire can have a ring with at least one retractable stud.
Total Tube Protector Tire Liner
Tire exterior surface area is typically 33% tire tread and 67% tire sidewalls.
Current market availability products are inner tube sealants requiring scheduled replacement and seal a maximum inch puncture and flat polyurethane tire liner puncture resistance for less than 33% of tire surface tread area only.
Typical pair of polyurethane tire liners 2- inches wide with inner tube sealant, retail cost $35 for 33% tire surface tread only. The present invention 5 inches wide, maximum protection, with inner tube sealant, retail cost is lower for 100% tire surface tread and sidewalls
Pair flat polyurethane tire liners 4.1 inches wide with inner tube sealant, retail cost over $75 for 33% tire surface tread only. The present invention 7 inches wide, maximum protection, with inner tube sealant, retail cost much lower for 100% tire surface tread and sidewalls
Methods for treating inner liner surface, inner liners resulting therefrom and tires containing such inner liners
Methods for treating the surface of a cured inner liner are disclosed. By use of these methods a treated, cured inner liner is produced which has a lower surface with increased adherability to other materials (e.g., adhesives). Treated, cured inner liners resulting from such methods as well as tires containing the treated inner liners.
SELF-HEALING TIRE
A self-healing pneumatic tire, which uses the sealant stored in the tire to fix a leak, is disclosed.
Pneumatic Tire Assembly
A pneumatic tire assembly is provided and includes an annular tire, an annular inflatable inner tube, and an annular solid insulation tube. The annular inflatable inner tube is positioned within the annular tire. The annular solid insulation tube is positioned between the annular tire and the annular inflatable inner tube and includes an outer surface in contact with an inner surface of the annular tire and an inner surface in contact with an outer surface of the annular inflatable inner tube.
Inner tube protective device
Embodiments of the present invention provide a novel solution for preventing pinch flats and installation flats incurred by an inner tube as a result of the wheel striking an object. Embodiments are directed to an inner tube protector that fits within a tire and provides mechanical protection to the inner tube against tire strikes. Embodiments may include an inner region adapted to support an inner tube installed around a rim of a wheel. Additionally, embodiments may include an outer region adapted for insertion within and against the rim lip of the rim which provide protection to the inner tube responsive to the wheel striking an object. As such, embodiments may be positioned between the rim and inner tube in a manner that dulls an edge of the rim lip and, thereby, provides protection to the inner tube when compressed against the otherwise sharp edges of the rim lip.
Self-repairing inflatable articles
A self-repairing inflatable article including an inflatable component that includes an interior surface and an exterior surface, a sealed flexible package adjacent to the inflatable component, and a sealant composition disposed in the sealed flexible package. The sealed flexible package is configured to release the sealant composition upon puncture, tearing or other breach of the inflatable component.
Self-repairing inflatable articles incorporating an integrated self-repair system
The present disclosure describes a self-repairing article comprising an inflatable component comprising one or more material layers wherein at least one material layer comprises an elastomer. It also describes a self-repairing article comprising a sealed flexible package disposed within or between material layers of the inflatable component, and a repair composition disposed in the sealed flexible package, wherein the sealed flexible package comprises a metal foil and is configured to release the repair composition upon puncture of the inflatable component.
FLAT RESISTANT VEHICULAR TIRE
An insert specifically adapted for use with an off-road tire, such as an off-road tire of a motocross motorcycle, or an off-road bicycle. The insert includes an inflatable tube and a foam element which generally conforms to the contours of the off-road tire to provide support to the tire when the tube is inflated. The ability to deflate the insert facilitates installation of the insert between the wheel rim and off-road tire. When inflated, the insert occupies the space between the wheel rim and tire to support a load during use of the wheel.
Tubeless tire device and kit
The present invention relates to a device for mounting tubeless tire comprising an elongated balloon having an opening attached to a bicycle tire valve. The balloon is fabricated from latex or any other suitable elastic material, and is filled with a tire sealant composition. Further, the ballon is designed to burst at a pressure of 15-40 psi.
