System and method for monitoring a communicative connection with a trailer
Systems and methods are described for monitoring a communicative connection with a trailer. Messages transmitted between a tire pressure management module of a trailer and a controller of a vehicle may be monitored. A notification may be triggered when the controller has not received a message from the tire pressure management module during at least a predetermined period of time.
Mechanically Driven Tire Pressure Controlling Device, in Particular for a Commercial Vehicle Trailer
A tire pressure controlling device for a tire of a vehicle wheel filled with compressed air, includes a control valve unit for filling the tire with compressed air and/or venting compressed air therefrom. The control valve unit is supplied from a compressor for generating the tire filling pressure. The compressor for compressing air drawn in from the atmosphere is driven by the mechanical rotary movement of the vehicle wheel, as a transmission disposed therebetween transmits the rotary driving movement of the vehicle wheel to the drive shaft of the compressor unit.
Bracket for mounting a tire pressure sensor
An inflation manifold connected to dual pneumatic tires by air hoses provides a central location for tire inflation and location of pressure sensors. A hose block connected to dual pneumatic tires by air hoses provides a central location for location of pressure sensors. The pressure sensors may be TPMS sensors or a combination of TPMS sensor and pressure gauge.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MANAGING TIRE PRESSURE FOR A TRAILER
The present disclosure provides a system and method for managing tire pressure for a trailer. A controller may be configured to manage communications between a vehicle and a trailer. A tire pressure management system module to be mounted on the trailer may be operatively connected to the controller by a tow connector. The tire pressure management system module may be configured to receive tire pressure information from at least one sensor operatively associated with at least one tire of the trailer, and transmit messages to the controller based on the tire pressure information, wherein the controller triggers a notification when at least one of the messages indicates a tire pressure that fails to meet a criteria.
On-board low-power vehicle condition indicator
A monitoring unit wirelessly monitors sensor(s) associated with a vehicle and includes (a) a radio frequency (RF) receiver that receives RF signals from one or more sensors; (b) a processing unit connected to the RF receiver that monitors information related received RF signals from the sensor(s); (c) the processing unit monitoring the received RF signals and a status of an output of the sensor(s) associated with the vehicle. The received RF signals may include information on a value of an output of the sensor and limits of acceptable values, and the processing unit generates an alarm when the value of the output is outside of the limits of acceptable values. The alarm may be a visual indication visible from the exterior of the vehicle.
TIRE PRESSURE EQUALIZATION SYSTEMS AND VALVES
Valves and related systems are described for equalization of pressure between vehicle tires. Valves may, for example, comprise a valve body which selectively opens when a vehicle is in motion so as to selectively allow two-way communication between vehicle tires.
Method for coupling a tractor with a semi-trailer and a semi-truck with a tractor and a semi-trailer
Method for coupling a tractor with a semi-trailer and semi-truck with a tractor and a semi-trailer.
Tyre pressure monitoring system
Methods and apparatus for determining whether a vehicle tyre pressure check has been carried out, comprising: receiving from a pressure reader module a request for tyre pressure data indicative of a the pressure of a gas retained within a pneumatic tyre; storing, by a pressure check register, data indicating that the request for tyre pressure data was received; transmitting, by a transmitter to an apparatus, an indication confirming whether a tyre pressure check has been carried out based on whether the request for tyre pressure data was received; receiving, at the apparatus from a plurality of tyre pressure sensing modules, a plurality of indications of whether a tyre pressure reader has been used on each of the plurality of tyre pressure sensing modules to check a corresponding tyre pressure; and determining, by a pressure check confirmer, whether a vehicle tyre pressure check has been carried out based on the received plurality of indications.
Smart Trailer Power Supply
A smart battery box is provided that includes a battery for selectively powering a trailer main harness coupled to an ABS controller. The smart battery box includes a controller configured to respond to a command to control a switch to close to power the ABS controller through the battery. In this fashion, the ABS controller may be tested through the smart battery box while the trailer is disconnected from a tractor.
