PATIENT INTERFACE SYSTEMS
A headgear for use with a patient interface for delivering a flow of breathable gas to a patient includes at least a strap adapted to position the patient interface in sealing engagement with the patient’s airways. The strap is constructed from an elastomer and a first side of the strap includes a first region on a portion of its surface that is textured to reduce friction with objects contacting the strap. A textured surface coating for a portion of an elastomer strap included in a headgear system is adapted to contact the skin of a patient, when in use, and the coating has a Ra value greater than zero. A vent for use with a patient interface for delivering a flow of breathable gas to a patient includes a plurality of rises and runs in a stepped arrangement; and a plurality of holes in the stepped arrangement for the venting of gas.
Active breathing system
An active breathing system is for an aseptic overalls arranged to be worn by a user. The system includes an aeration device and a surrounding air inlet, and aseptic overalls for a cleanroom. The aeration device includes a first longitudinal hollow body arranged to receive a ventilator connected to an energy source, an air suctioning tube in fluidic communication with the longitudinal hollow body, and the surrounding air outlet in fluidic communication with the longitudinal hollow body, and arranged to direct surrounding air upwards. The aeration device has an air inlet on the aseptic overalls and arranged to enable passage of the surrounding air on the outside of the aseptic overalls in an inner portion of the aseptic overalls.

Integrated manifold system
An integrated manifold system combines in a single, compact, unitary assembly a one-piece, machined manifold for connecting air supply cylinders with a first stage regulator and recharge port. The manifold body has at least one bottle port configured to removably receive a bottle of pressurized air, a first stage regulator chamber, a quick disconnect fitting port, an air channel in fluid communication with the at least one bottle port and the first stage regulator chamber, and an outlet channel in fluid communication with the first stage regulator chamber.

MAGNETIC QUICK CONNECT
A magnetic quick connect for a fluid delivery system includes a male coupling member and a female coupling member. The male coupling member defines a first outer fluid communication path and includes a first magnetic material. A first inner member is disposed within the first outer fluid communication path and defines a first inner communication path. The female coupling member defines a second outer fluid communication path and includes a second magnetic material. A second inner member is disposed within the second outer fluid communication path and defines a second inner communication path. The male and female coupling members are detachably held together by an attractive force between the first and second magnetic materials such that the first and second outer communication paths are held in fluid communication, and the first and second inner communication paths are held in fluid communication.
SCBA Assembly with Integrated APR Capability
A personal protective equipment (PPE), a component for an air purifying respirator (APR) and a method for coupling an air purifying respirator (APR) to a facepiece are provided. In one embodiment, the component includes an elongate tube having a proximal end and a distal end, the distal end being configured to be in fluid communication an air filter of the APR. The component also includes an adapter disposed at the proximal end of the elongate tube. The adapter is configured to releasably fluidly couple the APR to a facepiece and releasably fluidly couple a second stage regulator of a self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) to the facepiece.

High pressure air cylinders for use with self-contained breathing apparatus
A self-contained breathing apparatus includes an air cylinder pressurized to about 5500 psi, wherein the air cylinder is compatible with infrastructure used in conjunction with the air cylinder. The self-contained breathing apparatus also includes a first regulator valve for reducing air pressure from the air cylinder to a predetermined level. A second regulator valve is also provided for reducing the air pressure from the predetermined level to a level suitable for use by an operator, wherein air is supplied from the second regulator valve to the operator via a mask. The self-contained breathing apparatus further includes a frame for supporting the air cylinder on the back of the operator. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
