GARMENT HAVING MOBILITY-ENHANCING ARM PLEAT
The present disclosure describes a garment comprising a mobility-enhancing pleat positioned on the upper-arm portion of a sleeve. The pleat may be configured to move between a closed position, in which an outer layer lies substantially flat against the sleeve, and an open position, in which the outer layer is configured to provide the upper-arm portion of the sleeve with an increased surface area. Due to the increased surface area, the wearer is not restricted when reaching forward or upward and the sleeve is prevented from riding up so as to expose the wrists or lower arms of the wearer. Moreover, when the pleat is in an open position, the interior of the garment is not exposed. Accordingly, the pleat will not compromise a fire-resistant garment.
PROTECTIVE APPAREL AND SUPPORT APPARATUS AND METHOD OF USE
A protective apparel support system is disclosed comprising a support frame configured to rest on the shoulders of a wearer, the support having a first shoulder member, a second shoulder member and a shield engagement portion. A shield is selectively coupleable to the support and protective apparel is coupled to the shield.
PROTECTIVE INTEGRATED HOOD FOR GARMENT
Disclosed is a protective hood for use in protection against fire, chemical and/or biological threats, and other similar harmful environments to which individuals may be exposed under a variety of extreme conditions. The hood includes a flap that is partially separable from the remainder of the hood, where the flap includes a port for receiving a protective mask. Protective garments including the hood are also disclosed.
Personal protective equipment
An apparatus for providing a seal between a sleeve of a garment and a glove, the apparatus including a cuff body and a glove insert, the cuff body comprising a surrounding wall which defines an internal space, and the cuff body having a first distal open end and a second distal open end, the first distal open end comprising a resiliently deflectable sealing lip, which defines an opening of said first distal end, the glove insert is hollow and has a respective opening at each distal end, the glove insert comprises an outer surface which is provided with a locating channel which extends around the outer surface, the cuff body arranged for attachment to the sleeve of a garment, and the glove insert arranged to be inserted inside a glove, the sealing lip arranged to resiliently engage with glove material within the locating channel and thereby seal against the glove material.
Joint Assembly
The present disclosure relates to a joint assembly configured to define a tubular body having a first end, a second end and a passage therebetween. The tubular body is configured for articulation between a first state in which the first end and second end are in a first orientation with respect to one another, and a second state in which the first end and second end are in a second orientation with respect to one another. The body comprises a flexible bladder arranged between opposing supports, each of the bladder and the supports being ring-shaped so as to define an aperture, the respective apertures forming part of the passage. The bladder defines a chamber, and the chamber is partially filled with a fluid which moves within the chamber during articulation of the tubular body from said first state to said second state in order to maintain a constant internal volume of the joint assembly.
