The coupler includes: a coupler body, having an accommodating cavity, a first impact protection pin flange being disposed on the coupler body; and a coupler tongue, pivotally connected to the coupler body. The coupler tongue includes a head portion and a tail portion. The tail portion is positioned inside the accommodating cavity, and a first interval d is formed between an end surface of the tail portion and the coupler body. The coupler tongue further includes a second impact protection pin flange, and a second interval b is formed between the first impact protection pin flange and the second impact protection pin flange, wherein the first interval d and the second interval b satisfy: d<b.

TOW HOOK ASSEMBLIES AND VEHICLES INCLUDING SAME

A tow hook assembly including a crush box and a tow hook. The crush box includes a support section having a first end and an opposite second end, the tubular support section extending in a vehicle longitudinal direction, and a connector section provided at the first end of the tubular support section, the connector section including a face plate extending in a vehicle vertical direction perpendicular to the vehicle longitudinal direction, and an upper plate extending from an upper end of the face plate in the vehicle longitudinal direction. The tow hook includes a body having a first portion provided on an upper surface of the upper plate and extending parallel to the upper plate, and an attachment member extending at an oblique angle from the first portion.

Tubular back beam assembly for vehicle and method of manufacturing the same

A tubular back beam assembly may include a plurality of main members, each of which is formed by cold rolling and hot stamping and the plurality of main members may be coupled to form a vertically stacked structure with flat portions coupled in a surface contact fashion, or the tubular back beam assembly may include a main member and at least one support member that are directly coupled to form a vertically stacked structure.

Hitch Cushion System
20180370307 · 2018-12-27 ·

A hitch cushion system for inhibiting a vehicle from being damaged while backing toward a trailer includes a trailer that has a ball receiver. A cushion unit is removably coupled to the ball receiver and the cushion unit extends outwardly beyond a perimeter of the ball receiver. In this way the cushion unit inhibits a vehicle from striking the ball receiver when the vehicle is backing toward the ball receiver. The cushion unit is substantially comprised of a resiliently compressible material to inhibit the vehicle from being damaged when the vehicle contacts the cushion unit.

Work vehicle multi-coupler with breakaway feature

A multi-coupler assembly for a work vehicle includes a first bank of fluid connectors, a second bank of fluid connectors configured to matingly engage the first bank of fluid connectors along a coupling axis, and a coupler mechanism coupled to the first bank of fluid connectors. The coupler mechanism is controllable to bring the second fluid connector bank into mating engagement with the first fluid connector bank. A breakaway feature is integrated into the coupler mechanism. The breakaway feature facilitates controlled disengagement of the first fluid connector bank from the second fluid connector bank along the coupling axis during a breakaway event, such as when an implement inadvertently detaches from the work vehicle. The breakaway feature may permit controlled disengagement of the first and second fluid connector banks without requiring movement of the coupler mechanism.

Protective cover for trailer coupling

Disclosed is a protective cover for trailer coupling devices. The protective cover includes a shaft with a hollowed inner core for housing a trailer coupling device and a protective pad that is adjoined to one end of the shaft. When installed, the protective casing cover protects a trailer's coupling device from adverse weather conditions. Additionally, upon installation, the protective pad of the protective cover serves to prevent or reduce damage to a vehicle when a driver backs up too far while trying to align a vehicle's trailer hitch with a trailer's coupling device.

In order to form a vehicle attachment unit that is mountable or mounted on a vehicle rear such that it is also usable on the vehicle rear in the absence of a trailer element, it is proposed that the vehicle attachment unit should comprise a crumple unit, which is mountable on the vehicle rear below a bumper unit and has an impact body that extends transversely to a longitudinal center plane which, in the condition mounted on the vehicle rear, coincides with a vehicle longitudinal center plane, and mounting bodies arranged to either side of the longitudinal center plane, supporting the impact body in relation to the vehicle rear and maintaining a spacing therefrom, and that the crumple unit should be configured for the motor vehicle and meet crash requirements thereof on the motor vehicle with no trailer element provided.

MOVABLE TOW HOOK ASSEMBLIES AND VEHICLES INCLUDING SAME PROVIDING SOLENOID-CONTROLLED IMPACT ABSORPTION

A tow hook assembly includes a housing and a tow hook. The housing includes one or more side walls, a rear wall, a front wall, an aperture formed in the front wall, and a housing coil encircling the one or more side walls. The tow hook is slidably movable through the aperture of the housing between an extended position and a retracted position. The tow hook includes a tow hook coil encircling an outer surface of the tow hook. The housing coil and the tow hook coil are configured to receive current and cooperate to provide an energy absorption effect inhibiting the tow hook from contacting the rear wall of the housing during movement from the extended position to the retracted position.
