A hitch assembly for a vehicle includes a cross-member structure disposed at a rear of the vehicle. The cross-member structure includes a bar extending from the first side frame to the second side frame, and a tube circumposed over the bar and having a central portion fixedly secured to the bar and a side portion rotatably coupled to the bar. The hitch assembly further includes a hitch structure adapted to move between a working position and a storage position. The hitch structure includes a base sleeve slidably circumposed over the tube and an arm extending from the base sleeve. In the working position, base sleeve is secured to the central portion and the arm extends outwardly of the rear end of the vehicle. In the storage position, the base sleeve is disposed circumposing the side portion and the arm is disposed underneath a chassis of the vehicle.

A hitch assembly for a vehicle includes a cross-member structure disposed at a rear of the vehicle. The cross-member structure includes a bar extending from the first side frame to the second side frame, and a tube circumposed over the bar and having a central portion fixedly secured to the bar and a side portion rotatably coupled to the bar. The hitch assembly further includes a hitch structure adapted to move between a working position and a storage position. The hitch structure includes a base sleeve slidably circumposed over the tube and an arm extending from the base sleeve. In the working position, base sleeve is secured to the central portion and the arm extends outwardly of the rear end of the vehicle. In the storage position, the base sleeve is disposed circumposing the side portion and the arm is disposed underneath a chassis of the vehicle.

An adjustable trailer hitch disposed on a ball mount, the adjustable trailer hitch including a trailer ball to receive a trailer coupler thereupon, a plurality of elongated members disposed on and within at least a portion of the trailer ball to move from retracted in a first position to at least partially extended in a second position, and an adjustment assembly disposed on and within at least a portion of the trailer ball to move the plurality of elongated members in response to a rotation of the adjustment assembly.

An adjustable trailer hitch disposed on a ball mount, the adjustable trailer hitch including a trailer ball to receive a trailer coupler thereupon, a plurality of elongated members disposed on and within at least a portion of the trailer ball to move from retracted in a first position to at least partially extended in a second position, and an adjustment assembly disposed on and within at least a portion of the trailer ball to move the plurality of elongated members in response to a rotation of the adjustment assembly.

A trailer-coupling assembly is described for securing a trailer to a two-wheel vehicle. The trailer-coupling assembly is rigidly fixed to a rear-wheel frame of a two-wheel vehicle and the utility bed of a trailer. The trailer-coupling assembly is comprised of three joints that each rotate about three separate cardinal axes, permitting the trailer to navigate rough terrain without transferring rotational loading to the two-wheel vehicle. Each joint is configured to rotate at least 90 degrees in a clockwise direction and an anti-clockwise direction about a cardinal axis, providing the trailer-coupling assembly with flexibility to navigate the two-wheel vehicle and trailer over various grades of rough terrain.

A trailer-coupling assembly is described for securing a trailer to a two-wheel vehicle. The trailer-coupling assembly is rigidly fixed to a rear-wheel frame of a two-wheel vehicle and the utility bed of a trailer. The trailer-coupling assembly is comprised of three joints that each rotate about three separate cardinal axes, permitting the trailer to navigate rough terrain without transferring rotational loading to the two-wheel vehicle. A trailer coupling mechanism includes a first end, a second end, a height adjustment assembly, a first swivel assembly, and a second swivel assembly. The first end is adapted to couple to one of a trailer and a vehicle. The second end is adapted to couple to the other of the trailer and the vehicle. The height adjustment assembly is coupled between the first and second ends and is operative to adjust the relative height between the first and second ends. The first swivel assembly is coupled between the height adjustment assembly and the first end and facilitates rotation of the first end with respect to the height adjustment assembly about a first axis. The second swivel assembly is coupled between the second end and the height adjustment assembly and facilitates rotation of the height adjustment assembly with respect to the second end about a second axis parallel to the first axis.

A trailer coupling mechanism includes a first end, a second end, a height adjustment assembly, a first swivel assembly, and a second swivel assembly. The first end is adapted to couple to one of a trailer and a vehicle. The second end is adapted to couple to the other of the trailer and the vehicle. The height adjustment assembly is coupled between the first and second ends and is operative to adjust the relative height between the first and second ends. The first swivel assembly is coupled between the height adjustment assembly and the first end and facilitates rotation of the first end with respect to the height adjustment assembly about a first axis. The second swivel assembly is coupled between the second end and the height adjustment assembly and facilitates rotation of the height adjustment assembly with respect to the second end about a second axis parallel to the first axis.

An auxiliary dolly attachable to the rear of a primary trailer includes a first portion attachable to the primary trailer, a second portion comprising one or more axles with wheels, and a pivot point at which the first portion is coupled to and movable relative to the second portion, and further includes one or more cylinders configured to adjust the first and second portions relative to each other and apportion weight between the primary trailer and the auxiliary dolly.

An auxiliary dolly attachable to the rear of a primary trailer includes a first portion attachable to the primary trailer, a second portion comprising one or more axles with wheels, and a pivot point at which the first portion is coupled to and movable relative to the second portion, and further includes one or more cylinders configured to adjust the first and second portions relative to each other and apportion weight between the primary trailer and the auxiliary dolly.
