To improve a trailer device for motor vehicles, comprising a holding unit for a plvcrossmember mountable on a vehicle body on the rear-end side thereof and a ball neck receiving body having a ball neck receptacle, in which an insertion portion of a ball neck supporting a coupling ball is insertable and fixable therein, wherein the ball neck receiving body is arranged mounted on the holding unit so as to be pivotable at least between a working position, in which a ball neck is insertable by means of its insertion portion into the ball neck receptacle, and a rest position, it is proposed that the trailer device comprises a locking device which fixes the ball neck receiving body in the rest position in a locking state relative to the holding unit and has an unlocking state, in which the locking device allows the ball neck receiving body to pivot from the rest position in the direction towards the working position, and that an actuator is provided, by means of which the locking device is movable from the locking state into the unlocking state.

To improve a trailer device for a motor vehicle, comprising a holding unit for a crossmember mountable on a vehicle body on the rear-end side thereof and a ball neck receiving body having a ball neck receptacle, into which an insertion portion of a ball neck carrying a coupling ball is insertable and fixable, wherein the ball neck receiving body is arranged mounted on the holding unit so as to be pivotable at least between a working position, in which a ball neck is insertable by means of its insertion portion into the ball neck receptacle, and a rest position, it is proposed that the trailer device comprises a drive, which is coupled to the ball neck receiving body by means of a coupling unit which has a freewheel and which in particular comprises a plurality of coupling elements.

A hitch tightening pin system is designed to attach a draw bar to a hitch receiver tube and prevent relative motion between the draw bar and receiver tube. The pin system has an elongate tapered shoulder bolt that has a larger and smaller outer diameter with a tapered surface extending between the larger and smaller outer diameter. The system includes an expansion sleeve that has arcuate portions. The expansion sleeve can slide onto the smaller outer diameter with the arcuate portions facing the tapered surface. A nut tightens to move the arcuate portions radially outwardly to apply force to the inside surface of a draw bar. The application of force causes the draw bar to be held tightly to the receiver tube and reduce or eliminate looseness or rattling during use.

A hitch/step system which includes a main body that acts as a step when installed in a horizontal position and a vertically adjustable hitch when installed in a vertical position. In addition to a hitch attachments are provided for use with the hitch including a ball mount, a pindle lock and a shackle. The hitch attachments are interchangeable and seperably coupled to the main body and may be removed when not towing and when using as a step. Additional components include interior reflectors and removable LED lights.

A bumper cover of a vehicle includes a cover frame and a towing cap. The cover frame includes: a hook hole through which a hook configured to tow a vehicle body passes; and an installation hole disposed near the hook hole. The towing cap includes: a cap part configured to open and close the hook hole; and an anchor part protruding outward from the cap part in a bent shape and fixedly inserted into the installation hole. The towing cap is out of contact with the hook in a configuration in which the cap part opens the hook hole.

A bumper cover of a vehicle includes a cover frame and a towing cap. The cover frame includes: a hook hole through which a hook configured to tow a vehicle body passes; and an installation hole disposed near the hook hole. The towing cap includes: a cap part configured to open and close the hook hole; and an anchor part protruding outward from the cap part in a bent shape and fixedly inserted into the installation hole. The towing cap is out of contact with the hook in a configuration in which the cap part opens the hook hole.

A towing attachment is designed to facilitate the towing of bobtail trucks and similar vehicles. The towing attachment includes a tube, a hitch attachment body, a first mounting bracket, a second mounting bracket, a first locking mechanism, and a second locking mechanism. The tube is preferably a rectangular, tubular, structure that receives the first mounting bracket and the second mounting bracket. The hitch attachment body is an assembly that allows attachment onto the hitch feature of a bobtail truck or other similar vehicle. The first mounting bracket and the second mounting bracket allow engagement to a wheel lift of a towing vehicle. The first locking mechanism maintains the first mounting bracket in place along the tube. The second locking mechanism maintains the second mounting bracket in place along the tube.

A quick mount hitch connection for supports a towing accessory from a towing vehicle. An accessory shank is received within a sloped channel structure rising upwardly and rearwardly from horizontal. One of the faces defining the channel is open. A pivot bearing is provided along a bottom of the channel, such as by a pivot bar supported by the side walls of the channel structure and extending into the channel. A securing connector is provided at a location spaced from the pivot bearing, which can be removably fastened to simultaneously hold the accessory shank against the pivot bearing and to prevent the accessory shank from pivoting in the channel. The connection allows quick attachment, quick lowering, and changing the accessory from a usage position to a stowage position all by hand and without any tools.

A quick mount hitch connection for supports a towing accessory from a towing vehicle. An accessory shank is received within a sloped channel structure rising upwardly and rearwardly from horizontal. One of the faces defining the channel is open. A pivot bearing is provided along a bottom of the channel, such as by a pivot bar supported by the side walls of the channel structure and extending into the channel. A securing connector is provided at a location spaced from the pivot bearing, which can be removably fastened to simultaneously hold the accessory shank against the pivot bearing and to prevent the accessory shank from pivoting in the channel. The connection allows quick attachment, quick lowering, and changing the accessory from a usage position to a stowage position all by hand and without any tools.
