Personal protection and ventilation system
A personal protection and ventilation system is provided. The system includes a gown having front and rear panels, a hood, and visor; a fan; an air tube; and a helmet. The fan is positioned between the wearer and a body-facing surface of the rear panel. The front panel and at least a portion of the hood are formed from a first material including a first spunbond layer, a spunbond-meltblown-spunbond laminate, and a liquid impervious elastic film disposed therebetween. The first material has an air volumetric flow rate of less than about 1 standard cubic feet per minute (scfm). The rear panel is formed from a second material including a nonwoven laminate having an air volumetric flow rate of about 20 scfm to about 80 scfm. Therefore, the fan is able to intake a sufficient amount of air from the environment through the rear panel to provide cooling/ventilation to the hood.
Negative Pressure Respirator Assembly
A negative pressure respirator assembly may have an exchangeable filter elements, at least one intake valve, a facepiece body comprising a headband and a face shield, an outflow valve, an outflow tube coupled to the outflow valve, the outflow tube directing exhaust in at least one direction selected from the group consisting of parallel to the user's torso and down the user's shirt, into the user's personal protective equipment, and over the user's shoulder.
TWO-WAY PROTECTIVE RESPIRATOR SYSTEM WITH POSITIVE AIR FLOW AGAINST AIRBORNE CONTAMINANT PARTICLES AND VAPOR COMPONENTS
A portable two-way protective respirator system to be worn by a person that filters ambient air of harmful viruses, bacteria, and other airborne contaminant particles and vapor components for safe and fresh breathing by the wearer, while also removing any harmful viruses, bacteria, and other airborne contaminant particles and vapor components from the person's exhaled airstream before it is emitted to the surrounding community to protect other persons therein is provided according to the invention. The system comprises a respirator mask connected by a flexible hose to an air inflow blower fan unit containing filter media that produces an incoming airstream for a first chamber contained inside the respirator mask free of those harmful contaminant particles and vapor components. A gaiter made from finely woven cotton material extending from the bottom of the respirator mask defines a second chamber for a second airstream exhaled by the person to remove viruses and bacteria from that second airstream by a diffusion mechanism as it passes between the threads of the finely woven gaiter material. The two-way protective respirator system is comfortable for the person to wear, while being highly portable to accommodate a variety of work, educational, and lifestyle activities conducted within a group setting.
REUSABLE PURIFIED AIR BREATHING DEVICE
An air breathing device includes a casing and an air passage cavity encompassed by the casing. The device includes a set of air intake ports and air discharge ports that connect the air passage cavity to the outside of the casing. The device includes a set of dampers that allow the air to flow into the air passage cavity during inhalation through the air intake ports. The device includes a set of dampers that allow the air to exit the air passage cavity during exhalation through the air discharge ports. The device includes a retractable display screen to display content to the wearer. The device includes a fixed display screen to display images of the mouth of the wearer captured by a camera lens or simulated based on captured voice of the wearer. The device includes UV lights, filters, network connections, camera lenses, speakers, microphones, ear plugs, and heating coils.
POWERED EXHAUST APPARATUS FOR A PERSONAL PROTECTION RESPIRATORY DEVICE
The present invention relates to an exhaust apparatus for releasable or permanent connection to a personal protection respiratory device that defines a filtered air volume adjacent to the face of a wearer and comprises at least one exhalation valve. The exhaust apparatus comprising a powered blower in fluid connection with the at least one exhalation valve, the blower being operable to draw a portion of the wearer's exhaled breath through the at least one exhalation valve. Using such an exhaust apparatus for releasable connection to a personal protection respiratory device improves the comfort and overall experience for respirator wearers who use the respirator for intensive work, and/or for long periods of time, and/or in hot and humid environmental conditions by removing the heat and moisture build-up inside the respirator.
FACE MASK WITH PURIFIED AIR INSIDE
A face mask with purified air inside has a mask element formed so as to cover at least a part of a user's face including at least a user's nose and a user's mouth, and components for supplying into a space between the mask element and the user's nose and the user's mouth a purified air from a source outside the mask element.
ASSEMBLY FOR CHECKING THE ATMOSPHERE PREVAILING WITHIN A FIRST ENVIRONMENT ISOLATED FROM A SECOND ENVIRONMENT
An assembly for checking the atmosphere within a first environment isolated from a second environment, which differs by air quality and/or composition of the atmosphere. The assembly includes an isolation element for isolating the first environment from the second environment, a sampling device to collect elements present in the atmosphere within the first environment, and a suction device. The isolation element has an item of isolating personal protective equipment, and the sampling device includes a cassette defining a compartment having an inlet orifice as the sampling orifice and an outlet orifice as the connection orifice, which can be connected to the suction device, an element for capturing the elements being researched, interposed between the two orifices, in the compartment, the cassette further having an attachment element for mounting the sampling device on the isolating personal protective equipment, and the sampling orifice opening into the isolated first environment.
Blower device for a respirator
A blower device for a respiratory protection system comprises a fan for generating an airflow, further comprises at least one filter element which is configured to be flown through by the airflow, comprises a housing unit accommodating the fan and the at least one filter element and comprises an air conveying channel, which accommodates the filter element and is configured for guiding an airflow between the filter element and the fan, wherein the air conveying channel is configured for a deflection of an airflow between the fan and the filter element,
wherein the air conveying channel is embodied separately from the housing unit and the at least one filter element is fixedly integrated in the air conveying channel.
Respirator with floating elastomeric sleeve
A respirator device having an elastomeric sleeve is provided. In an exemplary embodiment, a respirator device as described herein includes a rigid nozzle element and a body including a receiver having an elastomeric sleeve. The elastomeric sleeve defines a channel, and the elastomeric sleeve is configured to deform around the nozzle element when the nozzle element is inserted into the channel.
Disposable PAPR with Viral Resistant Coatings
The PAPR kit is an air-purifying respirator that uses a blower to force the ambient air through air-filtration media to the hood assembly to create positive air pressure. The PAPR kit is module in design and can be employed in multiple use configurations and applications. The PAPR kit comprises a PAPR unit, the PAPR unit may be removably mounted or coupled to a back region of a hood assembly and/or a waist belt.
