VEHICULAR TORSION BEAM AXLE
A vehicular torsion beam axle includes a torsion beam, a pair of trailing arms connected to both ends, respectively, of the torsion beam; a pair of mounting pipes connected to the pair of trailing arms, respectively, each of the mounting pipes including a separation prevention protrusion, and a bushing press-inserted into each of the mounting pipes. Each of the bushings has a separation prevention groove in which the separation prevention protrusion of one of the mounting pipes is engaged.
TRAILER AXLE CARTRIDGE
Disclosed herein is an axle cartridge member for receiving a pair of torsion stub axles. The axle cartridge member includes a pair of laterally opposed bases, with each base defining a cavity therein for receiving an elongated stub housing of the torsion stub axles. The axle cartridge member also includes a pair of axle mounts that each includes a lateral opening extending into the cavity defined in the respective base, and an arch including a crossbar extending at a height above the bases wherein the arch further includes a portion that extends upward from each of the bases at an angle and meets the crossbar that extends generally horizontally between the portions of the arch.
Connecting arrangement for a stabilizer of a vehicle
A connecting arrangement for a stabilizer of a vehicle, with at least one lever that extends transversely to a longitudinal direction. The lever has a bearing eye provided with a non-circular inner circumferential contour. A torsion-bar spring with a rotation axis extends in the longitudinal direction. The torsion-bar spring has an outer circumferential contour, at least at one end, that matches the inner circumferential contour of the bearing eye and which fits into the bearing eye. The wall of the bearing eye is cut through by at least one slit extending in the longitudinal direction, by which two opposite wall sections of the wall are separated from one another. The two wall sections are pressed against the non-circular outer circumferential contour of the torsion-bar spring by at least one releasable clamping element.
VEHICLE TWIST AXLE ASSEMBLY
The twist axle assembly includes a pair of spaced apart trailing arms and a twist beam of which extends in a first direction between the trailing arms. The twist beam includes a pair of end portions and a middle portion. The twist beam further has a pair of side walls and at least one additional wall that extends between the side walls. The side walls in the middle portion are generally parallel with the side walls of the end portions. The twist beam is generally hour-glass shaped with the middle portion having a first width and the end portions have a greater second width. The twist beam also tapers from the first width of the middle portion to the second widths of the end portions for gradually increasing a torsional stiffness from the middle portion to the end portions.
Vehicle having driving and steering wheels carried by legs articulated to the vehicle structure, with each leg incorporating a system for driving and orienting the respective wheel
A vehicle has steering and drive wheels supported by legs articulated to the structure of the vehicle. Each leg is rotatably mounted on a main support around a transverse axis. The main support is rotatably mounted about the transverse axis on a base structure, which is connected to the structure of the vehicle. An actuator device is operatively interposed between the main support and the base support to adjust the position of the main support around the transverse axis, and consequently the height of the vehicle from the ground. A hub-bearing support carrying the wheel hub is rotatably mounted around a wheel steering axis on an auxiliary camber adjustment support. The latter is carried around a camber adjustment axis on a further auxiliary caster adjustment support. The latter is carried by the leg around a caster adjustment axis. The steering of the wheel and the camber adjustment are controlled by respective actuator devices. The caster adjustment is automatically controlled as the position of the leg changes around the transverse axis.
Active Vehicle Suspension System
A vehicle suspension system is disclosed. The vehicle suspension system can include a first spring having a first spring characteristic, a second spring having a second spring characteristic, and an actuator coupled to the first and second springs such that actuation of the actuator causes a change in the first and second spring characteristics. The change in the second spring characteristic can be inversely proportional to the change in the first spring characteristic to adjust vehicle handling.
STRUCTURE AND MOVABLE OBJECT INCLUDING THE SAME
A structure includes a suspension module including a suspension frame, a stabilizer bar provided to face one side of the suspension frame, a fixing portion including one side fixedly coupled to the suspension frame and configured to fix the stabilizer bar relative to the suspension frame, and a power electronics (PE) module fixedly coupled to one side of the fixing portion.
Self-propelled tandem axle trailer
A trailer for towing by a power vehicle is provided and generally includes a frame and a tandem wheel assembly. The frame forms an undercarriage chassis and the tandem wheel assembly positioned under the undercarriage chassis. The tandem wheel assembly includes a rear wheel assembly and a front wheel assembly. An extension assembly is provided and moves the front wheel assembly between trailing position and a self-propelled position where the rear wheel assembly and the front wheel assembly are positioned to equally support the undercarriage chassis.
