AIR POLLUTION MASK FOR CANINES OR THE LIKE
A canine mask is provided for filtering air pollution from inhaled air. A main body of the mask may comprise flexible/semi-flexible material that is formed in a generally hollow cylindrical-, hollow frustrum-, or hollow frustoconical-shape. The proximal end of the main body may comprise strap(s) providing a securing mechanism, and the distal end may provide a panting valve. An adjustment mechanism may be provide near the proximal end to allow adjustment of muzzle circumference. The main body may provide a filter pocket where an air filter may be placed to filter inhaled air, whereas the panting valve allows exhaled air to exit. When properly placed and secured on a canine's snout, the mask forms a seal so that exhaled air exits the panting valve and inhaled air only enters through the air filter cleaning incoming air of pollutants.

The muzzle is designed to clip behind the head like a soft muzzle while delivering needed oxygen with its internal oxygen tubing and specially designed port for quick hook up. The port allows for any standard EMS tubing to connect to the muzzle. This allows for a continuous flow of oxygen directed to the snout and mouth of the canine allowing the handler to be hands free to address any other emergencies.

In various embodiments, a respiratory protective device comprises a mask component configured to engage a face of a user; and a strap component configured for selective attachment to the mask component, the strap component being further configured to be worn by the user such that the mask component selectively attached thereto is positioned against the user's face, wherein the strap component defines a selectively detachable configuration relative to the relative to mask component; wherein the mask component comprises a plurality of integrated fastener components configured for selective engagement with the strap component to secure the strap component relative to the mask component, the plurality of integrated fastener components being integrally configured as part of the mask component such that the mask component defines a strap component interface configured for detachable attachment to the strap component.

A canine respirator comprising a hood comprising: a viewing window, an air entry port for receiving fresh air; and an intake air manifold for distributing the fresh air into one or more channels, an air supply unit comprising: a controller, at least one filter for drawing in and filtering air from an environment, an air tube for delivering fresh air to the hood; and a mounting assembly, wherein the air supply unit is attached to a portion of a canine away from a body of the canine via the mounting assembly.
