Milling machine having a hydraulic dampening system
A milling machine may have a frame, first and second ground engagement members connected through respective, vertically adjustable leg columns to a front end of the frame, and third and fourth ground engagement members connected through respective, vertically adjustable leg columns to a rear end of the frame. Each vertically adjustable leg column includes a hydraulic cylinder connecting the frame and the associated ground engagement member. A milling drum is attached to the frame between the front and rear ends. At least one pair of the leg columns connected to the front end of the frame or the leg columns connected to the rear end of the frame includes an accumulator associated with each of the at least one pair of leg columns, a fluid conduit fluidly connecting a bore end of each of the hydraulic cylinders to the associated accumulator, and a control valve disposed in the fluid conduit and configured to control a flow of fluid between the hydraulic cylinders and the associated accumulators.
ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED ADJUSTMENT SYSTEM FOR SWAY BARS
This invention pertains to sway bar systems, and a method of controlling their operation. Specifically, the present invention relates to provide a way of adjusting the response characteristics of a sway bar system by changing the structure of the typical sway bar links and regulating the modified structure by utilizing a hydraulic control unit. Said hydraulic control unit independently modifies the fluid path within each said sway bar links by use of one electronically controlled bi-directional valve allowing for closed or opened flow operation, determined by an electronic input being received.

METHODS OF PERFORMING A DISPATCHED CONSUMER-TO-STORE LOGISTICS OPERATION FOR AN ITEM BEING REPLACED USING A MODULAR AUTONOMOUS BOT APPARATUS ASSEMBLY AND A DISPATCH SERVER
Methods are described that perform a dispatched consumer-to-store return or swap logistics operation for an item being replaced using a modular autonomous bot apparatus assembly and a dispatch server. The method begins with receiving a return operation dispatch command that includes identifier information, transport parameters, and designated pickup information for the item being replaced/returned, along with authentication information related to an authorized supplier of the item being replaced. Modular components of the bot apparatus are verified to be compatible with the dispatched logistics operation. The MAM then autonomously causes the bot apparatus to move to the designated pickup location, notifies the authorized supplier of an approaching pickup, receives supplier authorization input to permissively allow access to a payload area within the bot apparatus, monitors loading as the item being replaced is received along with return documentation, and then autonomously causes movement of the bot apparatus back to the origin location.

The controller is also configured to determine a damper setting for the damping system based on the determined roughness. A method is also provided that includes determining, using a controller, a roughness of a ground surface associated with the vehicle. The method may further include determining, using the controller, a damper setting of the vehicle based on the determined roughness.

In various embodiments, methods and systems for controlling a suspension system of a vehicle are provided. In one embodiment, a control system includes: one or more first sensors configured to measure a velocity of the vehicle; one or more second sensors configured to detecting one or more additional vehicles that ae moving in relation to the vehicle; and a processor that is coupled to the first sensors and the second sensors and that is configured to provide instructions for adjusting the suspension system of the vehicle, based on the measured velocity of the vehicle and the detected one or more additional vehicles that are moving in relation to the vehicle.
DAMPER SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CHANGING A GROUND CLEARANCE OF A VEHICLE
A damper system for changing a ground clearance of a vehicle, including a main damper having a main damper chamber and a main damper piston movably arranged in a main damper tube and a spring assembly. The spring assembly includes a spring, a lower spring seat, and an upper spring seat. The spring is arranged between the lower spring seat and the upper spring seat, wherein one of the lower spring seat and the upper spring seat includes a cylinder and a piston, and the other one of the lower spring seat and the upper spring seat is coupled to the main damper and movable with the spring. The piston of the spring assembly is steplessly adjustable between a first position and a second position, wherein the first position corresponds to a predefined minimum ground clearance and the second position corresponds to a predefined maximum ground clearance.
