A facemask configured to be used by multiple sized/shaped heads can include a primary, a secondary and a tertiary seal. In some embodiments, the primary seal is contact with the nose and cheek regions; the secondary seal is in contact with the chin region; and the tertiary seal is in contact with the cheek and chin regions. In some embodiments, the tertiary seal extends inwardly and outwardly when applied to the face. In some embodiments, the mask includes test scissors.

A protective face mask is provided. The protective face mask may have a removable mouth panel (or “apron”) which acts as a protective personal barrier for the user. The removable mouth panel is suitable for allowing quick access to the user's mouth to, for example, eat and/or drink without needing to remove the entire body of the mask. Further, the user's nostrils remain secured and protected beneath the remainder of the mask. The mouth panel may also be completely disconnected from the main body of the face mask to allow a user to eat and/or drink. Alternatively, the mouth panel may be partially disconnected from the mask by being rotated to the left, to the right, or upward to allow a user to eat and/or drink.

A filter assembly for a breathing apparatus, such as a powered air purifying respirator. The filter assembly includes a frame for receiving and retaining a filter element, a cover connected to the frame and dimensioned to cover the aperture, a filter element, and an indicator for indicating when the filter element is retained in the filter frame and the cover is arranged across the aperture. A mask apparatus includes a mask body, a pair of hook mounting portions at side ends of the mask body, a seal coupled to a rear surface of the mask body, and a pair of ear hook portions connected to the hook mounting portions. A headgear or headgear segments are manufactured to shape thereby producing little or no waste material. Such headgear or headgear segments (components) may comprise a unitary, substantially seamless structure. Techniques such as knitting, braiding, crocheting, and 3D printing may be used to produce the headgear. As a result, the manufacturing process may have reduced steps, the amount of material waste may be reduced, and there are virtually no seams in the headgear between adjoining sections, thereby resulting in headgear with enhanced comfort.

This disclosure relates to a mask which delivers pressurized airflow to a patient. The mask includes a central portion and a wing projecting from the central portion. The wing is configured to adhere to a patient's cheek.
