11511592 · 2022-11-29 · ·

A suspension system for a vehicle includes a shock absorber unit operably coupled between a vehicle body and a wheel carrier. The shock absorber unit includes a first damper unit having a first cylinder chamber, a second damper unit having a second cylinder chamber, a first piston connected to a first piston rod, a second piston connected to a second piston rod, and an adjusting unit. The first and second cylinder chambers may each be filled with a fluid. The first and second cylinder chambers may be formed in a common cylinder unit and sealed off from one another. The first and second piston rods may be arranged axially displaceable in the first and second cylinder chambers, respectively. The first piston rod is operably coupled to the vehicle body and the second piston rod is operably coupled to the wheel carrier. Damping actions of the first and second damper units are changed independently of one another by the adjusting unit.

Electronically controlled external damper reservoir

An electronically controller external damper reservoir assembly (eRESI) can be connected to a passive damper and/or substituted for an existing external reservoir to provide semi-active damping control. The eRESI includes a reservoir and a variable base valve assembly actuated by an actuator. A controller is in communication with the actuator and a sensor providing input signal indicative of vehicle movement and is programmed to generate a damping control signal to the actuator based on the input signal, to dynamically control the damping force outputted by a passive damper hydraulically connected to the eRESI. A P/T sensor can be installed to a gas chamber of a vehicle damper to generate a P/T signal indicative of the pressure and temperature of the gas. The controller is programmed to determine a damper position of the damper based on the P/T signal.

Method and apparatus for controlling electronic control suspension

The present disclosure relates to a method and an apparatus for controlling an electronic control suspension using a deep learning-based road surface classification model. The method for controlling an electronic control suspension in a vehicle including a camera and a GPS receiver may include collecting location information of the vehicle using the GPS receiver while driving, identifying whether there is a previously generated road surface classification model corresponding to a front obstacle when the front obstacle is detected, determining a first control value based on a first characteristic value corresponding to the road surface classification model when there is the road surface classification model as a result of the identification, controlling the electronic control suspension with the determined first control value when entering the obstacle, and collecting new sensing data through a physical sensor, and correcting the first characteristic value based on the new sensing data.
