20170225531 · 2017-08-10 · ·

A device for adjusting camber and/or toe of a vehicle wheel includes a multi-part wheel carrier having a wheel-side carrier part, an axle-side guide part, and an adjusting member, in particular two rotary parts, arranged there between, by which the carrier part is swingable about a wobble point for toe and/or camber adjustment of the vehicle wheel. A bearing point is formed radially outside of the adjusting member, on which the carrier part and the guide part are articulated to one another. The bearing point is designed in a firm manner in the wheel-axle circumferential direction for support of the carrier part which is subjected to a brake torque, and is designed in a soft manner to realize a trouble-free adjustment and, compared with the wheel-axle circumferential direction, a particularly smooth adjustment of the carrier part about the toe and/or camber angle in the vehicle transverse direction.

DEVICE FOR ADJUSTING CAMBER AND/OR TOE OF A VEHICLE WHEEL

A device for adjusting camber and/or toe of a vehicle wheel of a motor vehicle, includes a wheel carrier including a wheel-side carrier part, an axle-side guide part and rotary parts arranged between the wheel-side carrier part and the axle-side guide part, the rotary parts being supported on a common bearing site for rotation relative to each other about a rotation axis, the wheel-side carrier part being rotatable about said rotation axis about an instantaneous center of rotation for toe or camber adjustment of the vehicle wheel and supporting a brake caliper interacting with a brake disc of the vehicle wheel; and a torque bridge configured as a torque transmission element which supports the wheel-side carrier part on the axle-side guide part when a braking moment acts on the wheel-side carrier part during a braking process, and which when supporting the wheel-side carrier part on the axle-side guide part generates a directed force component with which the wheel-side carrier part is impingable.

WHEEL CARRIER FOR A TWO-TRACK MOTOR VEHICLE

A wheel carrier for a two-track motor vehicle including a wheel-side carrier part, which carries a vehicle wheel; an axle-side guide part; axle-side rotary parts arranged between the wheel-side carrier part and the axle-side guide part and supported on a common bearing site for rotation relative to each other about a rotation axis by respective rotation angles, wherein the carrier part is pivotable about the rotation axis about a pivot point for toe and/or camber adjustment of the vehicle wheel by rotation of at least one of the rotary parts by the respective rotation angle into a rotary position, which correlates with a toe and/or camber angle of the vehicle wheel, wherein the toe and/or camber angle being arbitrarily adjustable within a toe and/or camber angular range. The wheel carrier further includes at least one movement stop adapted for limiting the toe and/or camber angular range of the vehicle wheel.

ADJUSTABLE CAMBER AND CASTER BUSHING

A movable object such as a mobile robot is designed to be driven indoors or outdoors with improved stability. Stability is enhanced by an attitude control mechanism to improve attitude stability of the movable object in a direction perpendicular to a driving direction thereof. The movable object includes an attitude control motor including a connecting shaft having a first end connected to a body part and a second end connected to a wheel, wherein the second end of the connecting shaft is located higher or lower than the first end of the connecting shaft.

Spindle sleeve with sleeve washer for rotational alignment

An apparatus for a vehicle is provided that includes an axle with a keyway. A spindle sleeve is present that has a spindle sleeve inner surface axis coaxial with the axis of the axle. A spindle sleeve outer surface axis is not coaxial with the axis of the axle, and the spindle sleeve has a sleeve washer that has a keyway tab. A retaining nut is in selective rotating communication with the sleeve washer such that rotation of the retaining nut is communicated to the sleeve washer to cause the spindle sleeve to rotate relative to the axle when the retaining nut is in rotating communication with the sleeve washer. Rotation of the retaining nut is not communicated to the sleeve washer to cause the spindle sleeve to rotate relative to the axle when the retaining nut is not in rotating communication with the sleeve washer.

Adjustable Ball Joint

An apparatus is described for interconnecting a steering knuckle and lower suspension arm. The apparatus includes a ball joint assembly having a height adjustment feature and a non-concentric ball and shaft that together allow for increased range of camber adjustment.
