A portable air filtration and disinfection device for a respirator system includes a casing, an inhalation filter assembly, and an exhalation filter assembly. The inhalation filter assembly includes an intake duct for receiving breathing air, an inhalation gas filter for filtering the breathing air, and an inhalation duct to provide the filtered breathing air. The exhalation filter assembly includes an exhalation duct for receiving exhaled air, an exhalation gas filter and an exhalation liquid filter for filtering and disinfecting the exhaled air, and an outlet duct for releasing the filtered and disinfected exhaled air.

Intra-nasal filter devices and methods for their manufacture and use are disclosed. An intra-nasal filter device includes: a first stage filter proximate the septum; and a second stage filter comprising a flexible material extending upwardly from the first filter stage filter; wherein the flexible material comprises: an impedance in the range of 0.02 to 0.2 cmH.sub.2O; an effective cross-sectional area in the range of 0.2 to 2 square inches; and a plurality of radially extending geometric structures disposed along an axial length of the second stage.

Intra-nasal filter devices and methods for their manufacture and use are disclosed. An intra-nasal filter device includes: a first stage filter proximate the septum; and a second stage filter comprising a flexible material extending upwardly from the first filter stage filter; wherein the flexible material comprises: an impedance in the range of 0.02 to 0.2 cmH.sub.2O; an effective cross-sectional area in the range of 0.2 to 2 square inches; and a plurality of radially extending geometric structures disposed along an axial length of the second stage.

A nasal airflow disruption strip for deflecting inhaled air to reduce nasal irritation includes a strip. The strip comprised of a flexible material. The strip has an inner surface, an outer surface, and a perimeter edge extending between the inner surface and the outer surface. The perimeter edge has a front edge, a rear edge, a first lateral edge, and a second lateral edge. An adhesive is positioned on and covers the inner surface. The adhesive removably secures the inner surface to an underside of a person's nose such that nostrils of the nose are covered. The strip includes at least one air permeable section and at least one air impermeable section. The air permeable section is alignable with the nostrils. The air permeable section is positioned adjacent to the rear edge.

A nasal airflow disruption strip for deflecting inhaled air to reduce nasal irritation includes a strip. The strip comprised of a flexible material. The strip has an inner surface, an outer surface, and a perimeter edge extending between the inner surface and the outer surface. The perimeter edge has a front edge, a rear edge, a first lateral edge, and a second lateral edge. An adhesive is positioned on and covers the inner surface. The adhesive removably secures the inner surface to an underside of a person's nose such that nostrils of the nose are covered. The strip includes at least one air permeable section and at least one air impermeable section. The air permeable section is alignable with the nostrils. The air permeable section is positioned adjacent to the rear edge.

A breathing mask is provided. The breathing mask is secured around the head of the wearer and includes a nose lifter disposed on the front face of the breathing mask. The breathing mask includes a hood, a pair of eye goggles, a mouth aperture, and a check valve disposed on the rear lace of the hood. The eye goggles are affixed to the hood with an elastic band attached in the rear of the hood. Moreover, the mouth aperture is disposed on the front face of the hood below the nose filter. The hood is secured to the head of the wearer by a zipper disposed on the rear face of the hood and an elastic band encircling a pair of side faces and a rear face of the hood. The elastic band encircling the hood provides an airtight seal to protect the wearer from airborne diseases and other hazards.

A breathing mask is provided. The breathing mask is secured around the head of the wearer and includes a nose lifter disposed on the front face of the breathing mask. The breathing mask includes a hood, a pair of eye goggles, a mouth aperture, and a check valve disposed on the rear lace of the hood. The eye goggles are affixed to the hood with an elastic band attached in the rear of the hood. Moreover, the mouth aperture is disposed on the front face of the hood below the nose filter. The hood is secured to the head of the wearer by a zipper disposed on the rear face of the hood and an elastic band encircling a pair of side faces and a rear face of the hood. The elastic band encircling the hood provides an airtight seal to protect the wearer from airborne diseases and other hazards.

The air permeable section is positioned adjacent to the rear edge.

A head support device having two handles or receptacles connected by a support strap, wherein the handles or receptacles are configured to support or accommodate the user's hands, and the support strap is configured to support or accommodate a portion of the user's head, namely, the user's face. In use, the user wears or otherwise passively contacts the handles or receptacles of the device such that the support strap maintains a desired distance between the user's hands. When in the seated position, the user contacts the support strap with their face, such that the user's hands and the handles or receptacles contact opposite sides of the user's head. The user further supports their arms by placing their elbows on their knees, upper legs, or other stable surface, thereby transferring the weight of their head to a stable surface via their forearms.
