CLUTCH APPARATUS FOR STABILIZER
A clutch apparatus for a stabilizer may include: an inner race fixed to a first transmission bar, with a first guide recess part formed in a longitudinal direction in an outer surface of the first transmission bar; a housing fixed to a second transmission bar and installed in a shape enclosing the outer surface of the inner race, with a second guide recess part formed in the housing at a position facing the first guide recess part; a ball disposed between the inner race and the housing and having opposite sides respectively inserted into and retained in the first guide recess part and the second guide recess part; and a driver disposed inside the housing and configured to move the ball along the first guide recess part and the second groove and control power transmission between the inner race and the housing.
Multi-Link Axle For A Motor Vehicle
A motor vehicle multi-link axle having wheel suspension including a lower transverse link and an upper transverse link. A leaf spring extending transversely to a direction of travel of the vehicle and below the upper transverse link. A link element connects an end of the leaf spring to the upper transverse link. The link element having a first connection, connected to the upper transverse link, and a second connection, connected to the leaf spring. The link element adjustable to vary the distance between the first connection and the second connection. The multi-link axle may also include a connecting element that connects the second connection point of the link element to a connection point of the leaf spring, with the connecting adjustable to vary the distance between the second connection point of the link element and the connection point of the connecting element to the leaf spring.
Suspension System
A suspension system for a vehicle is provided. A linear regenerative suspension system that converts mechanical energy into storable electrical energy is also provided. The system utilizes pistons, one on each side of the vehicle, engaged with a vehicle body at a distal end and having a fluid chamber at the proximal end. The system further has a central chamber having a rod freely laterally moving therein. A fluid communicates between the central chamber and each piston fluid chamber. Upon nonlinear forces applied to the vehicle, the rod is urged in one direction or another. This urging applies force to the fluid in the central chamber, and in turn, to the piston in the corresponding side of the vehicle, urging the piston up and in turn urging the vehicle body up.
Multi-stage active suspension actuator
A suspension actuator includes an upper mount, a lower mount, a first actuator mechanism, and a second actuator mechanism. The upper mount is connectable to a sprung mass of a vehicle. The lower mount is connectable to an unsprung mass of the vehicle. The first actuator mechanism forms a first load path between the upper mount and the lower mount. The first actuator mechanism is one of an electromagnetic linear actuator mechanism or a ball screw actuator mechanism. The second actuator mechanism forms a second load path in parallel with the first load path between the upper mount and the lower mount. The second actuator mechanism is one of a mechanical linear actuator mechanism, an air spring actuator mechanism, or a hydraulic actuator mechanism.
ADAPTIVE STABILIZER BAR WITH CYCLOIDAL DRIVE
An improved adaptive stabilizer bar is provided. The stabilizer bar includes a cycloidal drive between first and second portions of a divided torsion bar. The cycloidal drive includes a cycloidal gear assembly that provides a significant mechanical advantage, allowing relatively small electric motors to be used. In addition, the cycloidal gear assembly has a relatively small physical footprint, particularly when compared to a planetary gear assembly, for example.
Electromechanical devices for controlling vehicle suspension settings
Electromechanical apparatuses for controlling vehicle suspension settings. Described herein are electromechanical apparatuses for controlling wheel alignment (e.g., camber, castor and/or toe). In particular, described herein are camber adjusting apparatuses for electromechanically adjusting camber or camber and toe that may be retrofitted onto existing vehicle suspensions.
DYNAMIC MOTION CONTROL SYSTEM USING MAGNETORHEOLOGICAL FLUID CLUTCH APPARATUSES
An active suspension system comprises at least one biasing device configured to support a body from a structure, and at least one motor. A magnetorheological (MR) fluid clutch apparatus(es) is coupled to the at least one motor to receive torque from the motor, the MR fluid clutch apparatus controllable to transmit a variable amount of torque. A mechanism is between the at least one MR fluid clutch apparatus and the body to convert the torque received from the at least one MR fluid clutch apparatus into a force on the body. Sensor(s) provide information indicative of a state of the body or structure. A controller receives the information indicative of the state of the body or structure and for outputting a signal to control the at least one MR fluid clutch apparatus in exerting a desired force on the body to control movement of the body according to a desired movement behavior.
STRUCTURE OF ROCKING LOCK OPERATION PART OF SADDLE RIDING TYPE VEHICLE
A structure of rocking lock operation part for a saddle riding vehicle, the structure of rocking lock operation part includes a rocking lock mechanism configured to lock lateral rocking of a vehicle body and a lock operator configured to switch between locking and unlocking of the rocking lock mechanism, wherein the rocking lock mechanism and the lock operator are disposed on the vehicle body, and, when seen in a side view, a gripping section of the lock operator is disposed in front of a position overlapping a pivot support member configured to pivotably support the steering handle in the vehicle body and disposed in rear of a headlight disposed in front of the pivot support member.
FRAME STRUCTURE OF SADDLE RIDING TYPE VEHICLE
A frame structure of a saddle riding type vehicle, the frame structure includes a main frame body configured to support the power unit and the front wheel suspension device; and a steering post configured to support a steering shaft at above of the main frame body, wherein the steering post includes a shaft holder configured to rotatably support the steering shaft, and a plurality of column members that extend downward from the shaft holder and that are fixed to the main frame body, and wherein the steering post is detachable with respect to the main frame body.
