Portable breathing equipment and related methods
Portable breathing equipment and related methods are disclosed. An example portable breathing equipment (PBE) includes a housing defining a cavity, a cover movably coupled to the housing, and a smoke hood provided in a wrapper and positioned in the cavity. A first portion of the wrapper couples to the housing and a second portion of the wrapper couples to the cover. At least one of the cover or the housing to cause the wrapper to tear to provide an access opening to allow access to the smoke hood when the cover moves from a closed position at which the cover seals the cavity of the housing and an open position at which the cover enables access to the cavity of the housing.
AIRCRAFT EMERGENCY OXYGEN SUPPLY SYSTEM, AND AIRCRAFT COMPRISING SUCH AN EMERGENCY OXYGEN SUPPLY SYSTEM
An aircraft emergency oxygen supply system includes: at least one passenger oxygen mask; a compartment for housing the at least one passenger oxygen mask; and at least one oxygen hose. E each of the at least one passenger oxygen mask is coupled to a respective oxygen hose for supplying a gas comprising oxygen to the respective oxygen mask; at least one fixing clip. Each of the at least one fixing clip comprises a lanyard fixing portion and at least one C-shaped oxygen hose fixing portion for releasably holding one or more oxygen hoses. For each of the at least one fixing clip, the aircraft emergency oxygen supply system comprises a lanyard having a first end, which is fixed at the compartment, and an opposing second end, which is fixed to the lanyard fixing portion of the respective fixing clip.
Inflatable hood for air protection
A protective hood for air travel including a plurality of deformable partitions coupled to each other defining an inner cavity, wherein in a folded position the inner cavity is collapsed to a negligible size and in an unfolded position the inner cavity is configured to comfortably confine an human head, wherein one of the partitions includes a deformable opening configured to be stretched and fit over a head, and at least one coupling mechanism configured to attach one of the deformable partitions to an aircraft seat.
Aircraft oxygen mask container assembly
An oxygen mask container assembly that includes a container that defines a container interior and includes a container opening, an oxygen mask assembly disposed in the container interior, a mask ejector in operative communication with the mask assembly, a cover assembly that is movable between a closed position where the cover assembly covers the container opening and an open position where the mask can be ejected through the container opening and from the container interior, and a latch assembly. The oxygen mask assembly includes a mask and a lanyard. The cover assembly includes a light assembly therein that is configured to shine light below the cover assembly. The latch assembly is configured to move the cover assembly between the closed position and the open position.
Quick donning comfortable respiratory mask system for aircraft pilot
A respiratory equipment for an aircraft, a pilot or first officer of the aircraft forming a user of the respiratory equipment, the respiratory equipment comprising a head armature, configured to be worn on the user's head, a respiratory mask configured to be applied, in a use position around the mouth and nose of a user, an inflatable harness configured to be coupled to a pressurized gas source, an inflation of the inflatable harness causing an extension of the inflatable harness such that the respiratory mask can be brought opposite the mouth and nose of a user, and a purge of the inflatable harness causing a constrained application of the inflatable harness against the mouth and nose of a user, wherein the head armature comprises at least an occipital member, and a front cradle for receiving and lodging the respiratory mask in a waiting position, wherein the inflatable harness is fixed to the occipital member and the inflatable harness is coupled to the respiratory mask.
Device for the provision of oxygen masks when required
A device for the provision of oxygen masks has a closeable container for oxygen masks, an extendable arm having links coupled in articulated fashion and having an outer end, and a driving device. The outer end is coupled to at least one oxygen mask. The arm adopts a storage position in which the arm is arranged completely within the container, and an extended position in which the outer end is moved out of the container and in which the arm holds the oxygen mask at a distance from the container. The driving device is coupled to the arm and passes the links out of the container. The links enclose a pivoting range extending as far as a level juxtaposition of the links. When extended, the arm adopts the level juxtaposition under the action of gravity for the lateral spacing of the relevant oxygen mask from the container.
Passenger oxygen mask drop zone extender
An extension mechanism for a passenger oxygen mask includes a guide block with defined channels to guide the rotation of a telescoping extension arm mechanism. After rotation, a rotating sleeve latch releases an internal telescoping arm that extends a pull flag for the passenger to grab and release the oxygen mask. A pull flag release mechanism releases the pull flag when the extension arm mechanism is fully extended. Combined spring biasing elements keep the pull flag secured in place while stowed and retract a pull flag retention pin at full extension.
SUPPLEMENTAL OXYGEN ASSEMBLIES
A supplemental oxygen assembly for a vehicle can include a container and a flow assembly attached to and/or configured to be contained within the container in a stowed position and to extend from the container in a deployed position. The flow assembly can be configured to be connected to an oxygen supply to supply oxygen to a person in the deployed position. The supplemental oxygen assembly can include an extension device connected to the flow assembly. The extension device can be configured to extend or allow extension of the flow assembly toward an aisle of the vehicle to aid the flow assembly in being reached from or moveable toward an aisle of the vehicle by a person in the aisle.
AIRCRAFT OXYGEN SUPPLY UNIT WITH BLISTER PACK TRAY
A device for keeping ready passenger oxygen masks is disclosed. In embodiments, the device comprises an oxygen connection and a module container which can be fastened onto or installed in a passenger service unit (PSU) and includes compartments for receiving passenger oxygen masks, said passenger oxygen masks being connectable to the oxygen connection and being arranged ready for use. The module container comprises a release opening with an opening edge, and a cover which closes the release opening. The cover is releasably fastened to the opening edge and comprises a pull flag for removing the cover from the opening edge, wherein the cover and/or the pull flag is connected to an activation unit for activating an oxygen flow from the oxygen connection to the respective passenger oxygen mask.
