An anti-roll bar link for a vehicle suspension may be positioned between an anti-roll bar and an articulating arm. The link selectively transfers movement of the arm. to the bar, depending on a locked or unlocked state. The link includes a body interfacing a slidable shaft. A valve selectively controls flow of a damping fluid between an inner chamber of the body and a remote chamber. In the locked state, flow of the damping fluid is restricted at least in a direction from the inner chamber to the remote chamber, and movement of the arm is transferred through the link to the bar. In the unlocked state, flow of the damping fluid is permitted in this direction, and movement of the arm causes the shaft to translate with respect to the body such that at least a portion of the movement is not transferred to the bar.

Adjustable twist beam tube forming die

A die 20 used to form a metal tube into a tubular twist beam part 22 having a U-shaped torsion section 66 is provided. The die 20 includes a punch 44 and side form blocks 34 which simultaneously engage a metal tube and form the metal tube into the tubular twist beam part 22. The form blocks 34 have a curved profile which depends on the desired profile of the tubular twist beam part 22 to be formed. The die 20 includes horizontal spacer blocks 38 and vertical spacer blocks 32 restricting movement of the punch 44 and form blocks 34. The spacer blocks 32, 38 can have various different dimensions and can be easily removed and replaced to adjust the closing position of the die 20 and thus form multiple tubular twist beam parts 22 each having a different dimension and different roll rate.

A connecting strut of a motor vehicle having a hollow body which is formed from a fiber reinforced plastic. The hollow body has a first bearing body which is positioned at a first end of the hollow body, and a second bearing body which is positioned at a second end of the hollow body. A chassis control arm includes a single-piece base body with several hollow chambers. The base body includes a plurality of bearing mounts. A first bearing mount is formed by one of the hollow chambers and traverses the base body to define a first bearing axis which extends in extrusion direction. A second bearing mount in a first end portion of the base body defines a second bearing axis in a direction which deviates from the extrusion direction of the hollow profile. A third bearing mount is positioned in a second end portion of the base body. The base body has a center portion which includes the first bearing mount and is arranged between the first and second end portions. The base body has a first leg extending from the first end portion to the center portion, and a second leg extending from the second end portion to the center portion.

A suspension includes: a shaft coupled to sprung mass of a vehicle, the shaft having a screw groove and a spline groove formed thereon; a ball screw nut assembled to the shaft via a ball; a ball spline nut assembled to the shaft via a ball; a ball screw-specific motor connected to the ball screw nut; a ball spline-specific motor connected to the ball spline nut; and a case coupled to unsprung mass of the vehicle, the case being configured to hold the ball screw-specific motor and the ball spline-specific motor. The ball spline-specific motor rotates the ball spline nut and the shaft relative to the case.
