SIDE-BY-SIDE VEHICLE
A vehicle may include a CVT unit or a power source which requires ambient air. An air inlet for an air intake system coupled to the CVT unit or the power source which requires ambient air may be provided in a side of a cargo carrying portion of the vehicle. The vehicle may include a rear radius arm suspension.
VEHICLE HAVING ADJUSTABLE COMPRESSION AND REBOUND DAMPING
A damping control system for a vehicle having a suspension located between a plurality of ground engaging members and a vehicle frame are disclosed. The vehicle including at least one adjustable shock absorber having an adjustable damping characteristic.
Off-highway recreational vehicle
A recreational off-highway vehicle includes side-by-side passenger and driver seats held within a chassis that is approximately 50 inches wide. The seats sit low in the chassis and are covered by a roll cage. Grab handles are positioned on the sides of the passenger seat. Select large round tubing protects the vehicle, while rectangular tubing frames the portions of the vehicle beneath body panels. The vehicle is powered by an engine rearward of the seats that is connected to a transaxle. The engine and transaxle are isolation mounted together with a portion of the air intake assembly. The vehicle is suited for rough terrain travel.
LEANING VEHICLE
A leaning vehicle is equipped with a double wishbone (DWB) type suspension apparatus capable of improving comfort felt by an operator In the leaning vehicle, a connecting member is provided such that a first distance is smaller than a second distance. A distance from the connecting member to a hip point of an operator seat in a leaning-vehicle front-back direction is larger than a distance from the connecting member to a rotational center axis of each axle of a left rear wheel and a right rear wheel in the leaning vehicle front-back direction.
Vehicle having adjustable suspension
A damping control system for a vehicle having a suspension located between a plurality of ground engaging members and a vehicle frame includes at least one adjustable shock absorber having an adjustable damping profile.
ALL TERRAIN VEHICLE
An all-terrain vehicle including a frame having longitudinally-spaced ends defining a first longitudinal axis, and an engine supported by the frame. The engine includes a crankshaft defining a second longitudinal axis substantially parallel to the first longitudinal axis.
OFF-HIGHWAY RECREATIONAL VEHICLE
A vehicle configuration wherein the center of mass of the vehicle is approximately superimposed upon the passenger and driver centers of mass when seated within the vehicle. An occupant's center of mass can be approximated using a standard center of mass position approximation, or a combination of any number of standard center of mass position approximations. The vehicle's center of mass can be approximately superimposed upon the occupant's center of mass in at least the longitudinal and vertical directions.
UTILITY VEHICLE
A utility vehicle includes a plurality of ground-engaging members, a frame, a powertrain assembly, a front suspension assembly, and a rear suspension assembly. A cargo bed may be supported by the frame at the rear of the vehicle. The vehicle also includes an operator seat and at least one passenger seat positioned within an operator area. In one embodiment, the vehicle includes doors to enclose the operator area.
Mounting pillars for a drive assembly
A two pillar mount for a vehicle powertrain component wherein each pillar has two mirrored side walls formed on opposite ends of a joining wall. The side walls have mirrored recesses at a lower end to receive a lower frame member, and mirrored recesses at an upper end to receive upper frame members of a vehicle. Each pillar further includes attachment points to suspension members of the vehicle, and attachment points to the vehicle's powertrain component.
Mounting assembly for a suspension and wheel assembly of a vehicle, and vehicle including same
A front frame assembly for mounting a front suspension and wheel assembly of a vehicle can include lower frame members, first frame members, second frame members, a cross frame member, a plate, and a steering rack assembly. The pair of first and second frame members can be connected to and can extend upwardly from a respective one of the lower frame members. The pair of second frame members can be connected to the respective one of the lower frame members and a respective one of the first frame members. The cross frame member can be connected to and extend from each of the first frame members. The plate can be connected to and can extend from the each of the first frame and second members and the cross frame member. The plate can include a ridge. The steering rack housing can be mounted to the bottom surface of the plate.
