A method of controlling the vehicle includes operating at least one friction control device in a first of a plurality of friction modes, detecting a vehicular speed, changing operation of the at least one friction control device from the first friction mode to a second of the plurality of friction modes in response to the vehicular speed exceeding a first threshold speed value, and changing operation of the at least one friction control device from the second friction mode to the first friction mode in response to the vehicular speed falling below a second threshold speed value that is less than the first threshold speed value. The second friction mode is associated with a higher level of resistance than the first friction mode.

An integrated chassis control method to improve driving stability may include mountain-road integrated chassis control allowing, when a road on which a vehicle drives is checked to be the route of a mountain road by an integrated chassis controller, electronic control suspension (ECS) damping force and all wheel drive (AWD) driving force distribution to be controlled in a different manner according to uphill and downhill roads due to a difference of elevation of the mountain road.

Provided a suspension control appratus including a vehicle behavior detection unit (acceleration sensors), an electrorheological damper provided between a vehicle body (1) and each wheel (2), and a controller configured to execute control so that a damping force of each electrorheological damper is adjusted based on a detection result obtained by the vehicle behavior detection unit. The controller includes a target voltage value setting unit (damping force command calculation unit) configured to obtain a target voltage value to be applied to an electrode tube based on the detection result obtained by the vehicle behavior detection unit, a temperature estimation unit configured to detect or estimate temperature of ERF, and a target voltage value correction unit (output limiting unit) configured to change the target voltage value so that a piston speed (V) is adjusted based on a value obtained by the temperature estimation unit.
DAMPER CONTROL APPARATUS
A damper control apparatus for controlling a front damper at a front wheel and a rear damper at a rear wheel. The damper control apparatus includes: a preview sensor configured to detect a road surface state in front of a vehicle; a steering angle sensor configured to detect a steering angle of the vehicle; and a controller configured to control the front and rear dampers based on a detected value of the preview sensor. In response to the steering angle sensor detecting a steering angle that exceeds a predetermined steering angle threshold, the controller is configured to reduce control of the rear damper that is based on the detected value of the preview sensor.

A vehicle includes an electric actuator disposed outside a vehicle body, a battery 16 and a boosting circuit which supply a high voltage to the electric actuator, and an electric suspension control ECU which controls the boosting circuit and the electric actuator, and in a case where a running speed is equal to or less than a first speed, the electric suspension control ECU limits the supply of the high voltage to the electric actuator.

A vehicle includes an acceleration sensor detecting collision, an electric actuator disposed outside a vehicle body, a battery and a boosting circuit supplying a high voltage to the electric actuator, and an electric suspension control ECU controlling the boosting circuit and the electric actuator, and in a case where the acceleration sensor detects the collision, the electric suspension control ECU limits the supply of the high voltage to the electric actuator.

An apparatus and a method for controlling vehicle suspension, which controls a variable damper in consideration of virtual tire damping, may include a variable damper which is installed between a vehicle body and a wheel, a first acceleration sensor which is installed at each corner of the vehicle body to measure a vehicle body corner vertical acceleration, a second acceleration sensor which is installed to each wheel to measure a wheel vertical acceleration, and a controller that estimates a road surface roughness based on the vehicle body corner vertical acceleration and the wheel vertical acceleration, determines a virtual tire damping required damping force based on the estimated road surface roughness, and adjusts a damping force of the variable damper based on the determined virtual tire damping required damping force.
VEHICLE HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT DEVICE
A vehicle height adjustment device includes a changer, a detector, a vehicle height controller, and a malfunction detector. The changer is configured to change a relative position of a body of a vehicle relative to an axle of a wheel of the vehicle. The detector is configured to detect the relative position of the body of the vehicle relative to the axle of the wheel of the vehicle. The vehicle height controller is configured to control the changer based on a detection value detected by the detector to change the relative position to control a vehicle height, which is a height of the body. When the detection value detected by the detector changes by a predetermined amount or more in a predetermined period of time, the malfunction detector is configured to determine that there is a possibility of a malfunction occurring in the detector.
