A vehicle control device includes: a control portion that makes, of a plurality of shock absorbers included in a vehicle, a first damping force of at least one shock absorber that is located on a first direction side on which acceleration acts in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle larger than a second damping force of at least one shock absorber of the plurality of shock absorbers that is located on a second direction side opposite to the first direction in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle before acceleration acting on the vehicle is detected by an acceleration sensor due to acceleration or deceleration of the vehicle.
Driveline assembly for an electric vehicle
A driveline assembly for an electric vehicle for driving a pair of wheels. The driveline assembly includes an electric motor having an output shaft. A differential is coupled with the output shaft and is configured to receive torque from the output shaft. A pair of primary shafts are each coupled with the differential and configured to receive torque from the differential. A pair of end reducers are each configured to receive torque from one of the primary shafts and provide a gear reduction and torque multiplying effect at a wheel output. A controller is connected to the electric motor and is configured to superimpose a torque fluctuation at the output shaft to counteract vibrations in the driveline assembly.
Automatic tilting vehicle
An automatic tilting vehicle comprises left and right front wheels and a rear wheel. A control unit controls a vehicle tilting device so that the tilt angle of the vehicle becomes the target tilt angle. The control device is configured to swingingly vibrates the vehicle in the lateral direction by tilting the vehicle by the vehicle tilting device, to estimate a height of the center of gravity of the vehicle based on a resonance period of swinging vibration of the vehicle, and to correct the target tilt angle such that a perpendicular passing through the estimated center of gravity passes within a range of a triangle formed by connecting grounding points of the left and right front wheels and a grounding point of the rear wheel.
Automatic tilting vehicle
An automatic tilting vehicle is provided that includes left and right front wheels supported by knuckles, a steerable rear wheel, a vehicle tilting device, and a control unit. The vehicle tilting device includes a swing member, a tilt actuator for swing the swing member, and a pair of tie rods pivotally attached to the swing member and the knuckles. The control unit calculates a target lateral acceleration of the vehicle, estimates a lateral acceleration of the vehicle caused by the gyro moments of the wheels and calculates a target tilt angle of the vehicle based on a sum of the target lateral acceleration and the lateral acceleration caused by the gyro moments.
METHOD FOR CONTROLLING WHEEL AXLE SUSPENSION OF A VEHICLE
The present invention relates to a method for controlling wheel axle suspension of a vehicle (100), said vehicle (100) comprising a vehicle chassis (116), a prime mover (122) for propulsion of said vehicle (100), said prime mover (122) being connected to the vehicle chassis (116); and a front wheel axle (132) comprising an individually adjustable wheel axle suspension arrangement (104, 106) on a respective left and right hand side of the front wheel axle (132) as seen in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle (100), said individually adjustable wheel axle suspension arrangement (104, 106) being connected between the front wheel axle (132) and the vehicle chassis (116); the method being comprising the steps of: determining (S1) an output torque from said prime mover (122); determining (S2) a rotation (302) of said vehicle chassis (116) caused by the determined output torque from the prime mover (122); comparing (S3) said rotation (302) with a predetermined threshold limit; and controlling (S4) the individually adjustable wheel axle suspension arrangement (104, 106) on at least one of the left and right hand sides of the front wheel axle (132) such that the rotation (302) of said vehicle chassis (116) is below said predetermined threshold limit.
Ride height control system and method
The present invention relates to a control system (49) for controlling a target ride height of a vehicle (1). The control system (49) is configured to set a target off-road ride height (h.sub.OFF) in dependence on one or more vehicle operating parameters. The target off-road ride height (h.sub.OFF) is set upon receipt of a driving mode signal signalling that an off-road driving mode has been selected. Aspects of the present invention also relate to a vehicle and a method of controlling a target ride height of a vehicle.

The processor is configured to determine a current driver distribution profile of the driver input parameter based on the current value of the driver input parameter. The processor is configured to determine a current suspension setting based on the current driver distribution profile. The processor is configured to adjust the stored suspension setting to generate a stored adjusted suspension setting corresponding to the current suspension setting.
METHODS FOR CREATING CLEARANCE BENEATH VEHICLE WHEELS
A control system (300) for controlling an active suspension system (104) of a vehicle (100), the control system comprising one or more controller (301), wherein the control system is configured to: determine (804) that an entry condition is satisfied; in dependence on satisfaction of the entry condition, transmit (806) a request to the active suspension system to create clearance beneath a first wheel (FL, RR) of the vehicle but not create clearance beneath a plurality of other wheels (FR, RL) of the vehicle.
