Active camber control
A method of actively controlling camber offset of a suspension for a vehicle includes, with a system controller, receiving, via a plurality of sensing devices within the vehicle and in communication with the system controller, data related to a target camber angle for the suspension of the vehicle, defining the target camber angle based on the data related to the target camber angle for the suspension of the vehicle, actuating an active camber offset mechanism of the suspension for the vehicle, and adjusting, with the active camber offset mechanism, a camber angle of the suspension to the target camber angle.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR AN ADJUSTABLE DAMPER
A method for controlling vehicle motion is described. The method includes accessing a set of control signals including a measured vehicle speed value associated with a movement of a vehicle. A control signal associated with user-induced input is also accessed. The method compares the measured vehicle speed value with a predetermined vehicle speed threshold value to achieve a speed value threshold approach status, and then compares the set of values to achieve a user-induced input threshold value approach status. The method monitors a state of a valve within the vehicle suspension damper, and determines a control mode for the vehicle suspension damper. The method also regulates damping forces within the vehicle suspension damper.
Adjustable sensitivity controlling system for shock absorbers
This invention pertains to shock absorbers, and a method of controlling their operation. Specifically, this invention relates to use of a user interface allowing to control the sensitivity of various parameters used by a programmed electronic control unit. When in operation, said electronic control unit automatically send calculated and user-adjusted electronic signals to electronic control devices which proportionally regulate flow of fluid within each shock absorbers of a vehicle.
Shock stiffener system
Provided is an automatically controlled shock stiffening system. The automatically controlled shock stiffening system may include an electronic control unit receiving sensor input which automatically stiffens and softens a shock during operation. An override button is provided to immediately stiffen the shock in response to a user activating the override button. The system may include a main body with an oil flow aperture and a flow control system that operates to restrict the flow of oil between the reservoir and the shock. The automatically controlled shock stiffening system may be coupled between the reservoir and the bridge of the shock and operates to restrict flow of the oil in order to stiffen the shock immediately in response to activation of the override button.
