The approach includes detecting one or more critical situations associated within a structure and detecting one or more location of one or more users in the structure. The approach retrieves a user-knowledge corpus based on one or more smart IoT devices or from existing database. Furthermore, the approach retrieves a critical situation knowledge corpus from various servers and creates risk mitigation action plans to address the one or more critical situations. The approach selects an optimal plan, by leveraging machine learning through combinatorial optimization technique, from the existing risk mitigation action plans and executing the optimal plan.
UTILITY AND APPLIANCE FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEM
A fire suppression system that includes a non-rigid pouch, a quantity of suppressant, a quantity of gas, and a pressurized gas source. The non-rigid pouch that includes an exterior surface and an interior space. The quantity of suppressant, the quantity of gas, and the pressurized gas source is contained within said interior space. The pressurize gas source is configured to increase the internal pressure of the non-rigid pouch by injecting gas into the interior space. The non-rigid pouch is configured to rupture when the internal pressure exceeds a predetermined threshold pressure.
Fryer fire suppression system
A cooking system includes an appliance defining a food product volume and a fluid aperture fluidly coupled to the food product volume, a conduit configured to fluidly couple a fire suppressant supply to the fluid aperture, the fire suppressant supply being configured to provide a fire suppressant agent, a flow restrictor positioned along the conduit and configured to restrict a flow rate of the fire suppressant agent through the conduit, and a check valve positioned along the conduit. A portion of the conduit extends between the check valve and the fluid aperture and fluidly couples the check valve to the fluid aperture. The conduit is configured to introduce the fire suppressant agent from the fire suppressant supply into the food product volume of the appliance through the fluid aperture.
UTILITY AND APPLIANCE FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEM, COMPOSITIONS, AND METHODS
The invention generally encompasses fire suppressant compositions and methods. In certain embodiments, the composition is configured to the heating device, for example, a stove or microwave. In certain embodiments, the invention includes holes to allow heat to enter into a compartment/shell and impinge upon a pressurized pouch containing a suppressant agent. In other embodiments, when a fire occurs it causes an exterior layer or relief valve to rupture the suppressant agent discharging towards the heat source and extinguishing the fire. In another application this complication is connected to an electrical or gas system and cuts the supply when the exterior layer of the device ruptures and releases a suppressant.
System and method for evaporative cooling of a heated apparatus
A system is provided for rapidly cooling a pot or boiler. The system includes a cylindrical or semi-cylindrical tube operatively connected to the pot or boiler. The tube also includes a means for attaching a water source or hose. Finally, the tube may also include a series of holes or nozzles for directing a stream or spray of water towards the outer surface of the pot or boiler. The system may be built into the pot or boiler or may be a standalone, removable and adjustable system for use on multiple different pots or boilers.
Initiator for fire suppressant canister
A container holding a fire suppressing powder has a top, a cylindrical sidewall and a bottom with a hole, the bottom having a score line defining a segment. An explosive material housing containing an explosive material is mounted to a head of a mounting member. The mounting member has a lower portion smaller in cross-sectional dimension than the head, depending downward from the head and extending through the hole in the bottom. A retainer is secured around the lower portion of the mounting member below the bottom to secure the mounting member to the bottom. A fuse extends through the hole in the bottom, a passage in the mounting member, and into the explosive material housing. A plate is mounted within the container a selected distance below the top, the plate being movable a short distance toward and away from the top in response to ignition of the explosive material.
Fire protection device and method for fire protection of an industrial oil cooker
Fire protection mist nozzles for industrial oil cookers, oil cookers with fire protection systems, and method of oil cooker fire protection are provided. The mist nozzles operate at pressures between 170 and 250 psi, and provide a unique distribution pattern that allows for variable installations for protection in certain operative environments including oil cookers with various hood configurations. The fire protection nozzles includes a base defining an inlet and an outlet along an axis. The base includes an orifice having an inlet diameter and an outlet diameter. The outlet diameter is preferably greater than the inlet diameter; and the orifice defines a K-factor of less than 1.0 gpm/psi½. The nozzle includes a diffuser aligned with the orifice. The diffuser has a preferably substantially domed portion with a maximum diameter that is less than the summation of the inlet diameter and the outlet diameter of the orifice.

CONDUIT FITTING
A conduit fitting is provided herein. The conduit fitting may be configured to couple to an electrical mechanical tubing (EMT) often used in a fire suppression system. The conduit fitting may include a first cylindrical section and a second conical section. The first cylindrical section and the second conical section can both include a slit extending partially through the conduit fitting.
