Solid foam stick manifold device
A solid foam stick manifold device provides solid stick foam additive to multiple discharge lines. The device includes a housing having an interior space defining a mixing chamber configured for holding a solid foam stick. An inlet extends from the housing and is in fluid communication with the interior space directly into the mixing chamber. An outlet extends from the housing and is in fluid communication with the interior space. The outlet is positioned such that flow through the inlet passes through the mixing chamber before being expelled through the outlet for expelling foam produced by mixing of water with the solid foam stick within the mixing chamber.
Fire protection device and method for fire fighting
The present invention especially relates to a fire protection system (1) with a wetting system (23) which is designed and equipped for the wetting of a predetermined extinguishing volume (11) with extinguishing water, wherein the wetting system (23) is designed and equipped in such a way that in a pure water-gas extinguishing measure within a defined operating envelope the concentration of extinguishing gas in the extinguishing volume remains below the extinguishing concentration.
MOBILE FIREFIGHTNG UNIT
There is provided a mobile firefighting unit comprising a container having a reservoir portion and a utility portion. The reservoir portion comprises a reservoir for storing a fluid. The utility portion comprises a main pumping station in fluid communication with the reservoir, and a mobile pumping station connectable to the main pumping station through a hose extending outside the container. The mobile pumping station is deployable for firefighting purposes. A heating system is also positioned within the container for heating the interior of the container. A lighting system provides lighting for the interior of the container. The mobile firefighting unit is readily and quickly available for rapid deployment in a fire scenario under various climate conditions.
Modular polymer gel preparation system for aircraft
The system includes a pod suspended beneath the aircraft and above a water fillable and emptyable bucket. Polymer gel emulsion preparation equipment is included at the bucket. The pod includes an elongate shaft for carrying structural loads between a cable extending down from the aircraft and the bucket. The pod also includes a polymer gel tank. A polymer gel pump delivers polymer gel to the polymer gel emulsion preparation equipment within the bucket when required. The pod is configured to include a pathway for routing of various lines from the aircraft down to the bucket, and past the polymer gel tank. Sub-systems for filling the polymer gel tank and for equalizing pressure within the polymer gel tank are also included with the pod, so that the pod provides a modular polymer gel storage for use with polymer gel emulsion preparation equipment within a bucket suspended beneath the aircraft.
SURROGATE FOAM TEST SYSTEM
An agent distribution system includes a water tank, a flush line, a flush valve, an agent storage tank, an agent line, an agent valve, a first flow meter, and a second flow meter. The flush line receives water from the water tank. The flush valve is configured to selectively prevent water from flowing along the flush line downstream of the flush valve. The agent line receives agent from the agent tank. The agent valve is configured to selectively prevent agent from flowing along the agent line downstream of the agent valve. The flush line extends into the agent line at a junction. The junction is disposed downstream of the agent valve. The first flow meter is positioned along the agent line downstream of the junction. The second flow meter is positioned downstream of the first flow meter and upstream of a discharge system.
Fire extinguishing agent discharge apparatus
Provided is a dropping-type fire extinguishing body that, in fire extinguishing using a gel-like fire extinguishing agent, can allow the fire extinguishing agent to be smoothly conveyed and dropped. A dropping-type fire extinguishing body 1 to be dropped onto the fire site to extinguish the fire, wherein a gelling agent 3 is contained in a bag body 2 formed of a water-permeable material and water is permeated into the body and is mixed with the gelling agent to prepare a gel-like fire extinguishing agent, thereby filling the gel-like fire extinguishing agent into the inside of the bag body.
Fire extinguishing agent delivery apparatus, system and method of use thereof
A fire extinguishing agent delivery apparatus, system, and method of use having an outer tube with an inlet attached to a pressurized water source and an outlet attached to a firefighting hose. The apparatus includes an inner venturi tube mounted within the outer tube, having a funnel-shaped inlet and outlet, a reduced diameter intermediate portion, and an extinguishing agent inlet port. The apparatus includes a device for injecting extinguishing agent into the inlet port and the venturi tube has a smaller diameter than the outer tube, so a portion of water travels through the venturi tube and mixes with extinguishing agent and a greater portion of water travels unobstructed through the outer tube and mixes with the mixture of water and fire extinguishing agent discharged from the venturi tube, prior to discharge from the outer tube.
Bucket supported polymer gel emulsion preparation system
The system includes an intake assembly upstream of a pump within the bucket which selectively uses an outer port for drawing water outside of the bucket into the system and an inner port for drawing water from within the bucket into the system. A polymer gel port is interposed between the intake assembly and the pump for combination, mixing and activation of a water and polymer gel emulsion combination within the pump. A fill assembly is provided downstream of the pump which can selectively direct water back into the bucket. A discharge assembly is also provided downstream of the pump which leads to a nozzle or other outlet for water and/or polymer gel emulsion from the system. A control valve selects between delivery of water and/or polymer gel emulsion back into the bucket through the fill assembly or out of the bucket through the discharge.
HIGH-VISCOSITY FIRE SUPPRESSANT DELIVERY SYSTEM USING AN INJECTION QUILL
A system for delivering an additive into a fluid stream is disclosed that addresses the issues of delivering a pressurized stream of a shear thickening or dilatant material which is commonly used for fire suppression. The system uses a positive displacement pump that is controlled to deliver the additive to a fluid stream in the correct ratio according to fluid flow rates. The system also incorporates an injection quill for delivering the additive to the fluid stream within a dispensing line. The injection quill includes an internal extension within its valve chamber, and the internal extension provides ports that allow for improved fluid flow of dilatant material.
