Refrigeration system and control method for starting refrigeration system
A refrigeration system and a start control method for a refrigeration system. The refrigeration system includes: a refrigeration loop having an exhaust port of a compressor, a condenser, a throttle element, an evaporator, and a suction port of the compressor connected in sequence by using a flow path; wherein a first valve is disposed between the throttle element and the condenser, and the first valve is at least capable of cutting off a refrigerant flow from the throttle element to the condenser; and a second valve is disposed close to the suction port of the compressor, and the second valve is used to control on/off of a flow path between the evaporator and the compressor. Starting load of the refrigeration system according to the present invention can be effectively reduced, so that the power and size of a drive component for providing power can also be reduced.
Control system and method for an electronically governed engine of a refrigeration system
There is disclosed a transport refrigeration system comprising an electronically governed engine that drives a refrigeration circuit of the system. The engine control unit is configured to operate the engine in a droop mode of operation, in which the engine speed increases with decreasing engine loads from the refrigeration circuit, so as to maximise the cooling capacity of the system at low engine load conditions.
Hybrid vehicle front end accessory drive control system and method
A method of operating an accessory drive system for a motor vehicle, wherein the accessory drive system includes one or more accessory components, a motor generator of the motor vehicle, and a flexible drive element configured to transmit a torque load between the one or more accessory components and the motor generator, includes determining a maximum permissible flexible drive element torque threshold, detecting an increase in torque demand on the flexible drive element, determining when the torque demand on the flexible drive element will exceed the flexible drive element torque threshold, and reducing the torque demand of one or more of the accessory components so that the flexible drive element torque threshold is not exceeded.
System and method for idle mitigation on a utility truck with an electrically isolated hydraulically controlled aerial work platform
An idle mitigation system for a bucket truck which includes an alternate source of power for the vehicle air conditioner which is coupled to the hydraulic system of the bucket truck which is hydraulic system is alternately powered by an electric motor which when run in reverse can charge batteries.
HEATING AND COOLING SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR TRUCK CABS
A vehicle heating and cooling system has a vehicle evaporator coil, a vehicle HVAC user interface, a compressor, a compressor coil, and a controller. The controller is connected between the vehicle HVAC user interface and the compressor. The compressor and compressor coil are connected to the vehicle evaporator coil.
Ejector-Enhanced Heat Recovery Refrigeration System
A refrigerated transport system comprises: an engine. A vapor compression system comprises: a compressor for compressing a flow of a refrigerant; a first heat exchanger along a refrigerant flowpath of the refrigerant; and a second heat exchanger along the refrigerant flowpath of the refrigerant. A heat recovery system has: a first heat exchanger for transferring heat from the engine to a heat recovery fluid along a heat recovery flowpath; and a second heat exchanger along the heat recovery flowpath. The heat recovery system second heat exchanger and the vapor compression system first heat exchanger are respective portions of a shared tube/fin package.
CHARGED SERIAL HYBRID COMBUSTION ENGINE
A system for providing power to a vehicle includes a combustion engine having a low number of cylinders. A mechanically driven charging mechanism is attached to the combustion engine to provide pressurized air to the combustion engine and generate increased power. The combustion engine includes a 2nd order mass balance shaft that is operatively coupled to a crankshaft of the engine. The 2nd order mass balance shaft rotates at a higher speed than the crankshaft and counters inertial forces generated by the pistons of the engine. A compressor of the mechanically driven charging mechanism is attached to the 2nd order mass balance shaft, such that the mechanically driven charging mechanism is mechanically driven by rotation of the 2nd order mass balance shaft. The high speed of the 2nd order mass balance shaft drives the compressor of the mechanically driven charging mechanism.
