Control Device
A control device is disclosed for an electric heating device with a PTC element as an auxiliary heater in a motor vehicle. The control device has a control housing in which a printed circuit board, equipped with at least one power switch is provided. The power switch is applied against a cooling surface in a heat-conducting manner under pretension via an elastic pretensioning element. The pretensioning element is formed from an elongated piece of a soft-elastic plastic part extruded with at least one through-opening. Also disclosed is an electric heating device having such a control device.
THERMAL SYSTEM CONTROL FOR A VEHICLE
A thermal control system includes first and second components. A plurality of coolant conduits fluidly couple the components to define a coolant circuit. A pump is operable to circulate coolant among the conduits. Within the coolant circuit, the first component is upstream of the second component and the pump is upstream of the first component. A controller is configured to selectively operate according to a circuit heating mode, wherein the controller controls the pump at a first speed and controls the first respective component as a thermal source, and a local heating mode, wherein the local heating mode the control controls the pump at a second speed and controls the first respective component as a thermal source. The second speed is less than the first speed. The controller operates in the local heating mode in response to a heating request associated with the second respective component.
System and method for detecting objects left behind by using heated resistive filament in a vehicle
A system and a method for determining an object has been on a vehicle seat of a vehicle are provided. The processing circuitry may determine if passengers of the vehicle have left the vehicle. The processing circuitry may determine if a temperature of a vehicle cabin of the vehicle meets a threshold of temperature. The temperature of the vehicle cabin to a first temperature may be adjusted. A temperature of resistive filaments of the vehicle seat of the vehicle to a second temperature may be adjusted. A thermal image of the vehicle seat with a reference thermal image of the vehicle seat may be compared. The processing circuitry may determine if the object has been left on the vehicle seat.
Vehicle cabin thermal management system
A vehicle cabin thermal management system includes a first heat exchange system adapted to operate primarily based upon a convective mode of heat transfer within a vehicle cabin, a second heat exchange system adapted to operate primary based upon a non-convective mode of heat transfer within the vehicle cabin, and a controller in communication with the first heat exchange system and the second heat exchange system, wherein the controller controls a thermal output of the second heat exchange system, and wherein the controller controls the first heat exchange system to reduce the operating level of the first heat exchange system in response to the controller operating the second heat exchange system.

DUAL HEAT PUMP AND FURNACE OPERATION FOR A RECREATIONAL VEHICLE
An air conditioning unit for a recreational vehicle including a first heater and a second heater, and configured to initiate a heating operation including analyzing an interior temperature and an exterior temperature, determine an operating mode of the air conditioning unit, and controlling the first heater and the second heater according to the determined operation mode.
Fluid Heating System
A fluid heating system intended for use in recreational vehicles that circulates glycol in a system loop with various heat sources and other devices that distribute this heat to an enclosure or a domestic water system. It has a system controller operationally connected to a remove tactile display unit that allows for the input of the operation parameters to the system controller. The control unit is operatively connected for data and signal transfer to the user's cell phone via a non-internet connected localized wi-fi network. This provides the user with system status information, fault codes and allows selected operational functions and resets to be remotely initiated that heretofore required local manipulation. It also incorporates altimeter to allow the furnace controller to maximize its burn efficiency.
Fuel-operated vehicle heating device and method to operating a fuel-operated vehicle heating device
A method to operate a fuel-operated vehicle heater comprising the lowering of a combustion air ratio λ between supplied combustion air and supplied fuel to a combustion chamber of the fuel-operated vehicle heater from a starting value λ.sub.start>1 to a range λ<λ.sub.start for a time period Δt.
